Mossie was pinged (pung?) along with everyone else on my ping list, so hopefully, he will wander in shortly with some wonderful tale about the places he’s been in his absence or the work the slave masters had him doing.

I would say, Thomas, that having had similar experiences several times in my life (no cars catching fire, but dangerous situations, anyway) that you were being Watched Over and that everything happened when and where it should have in order to protect your longevity.
And yes, God is VERY Good!

It must be warm, there by the house. Mountain kitty likes the view.

You have a very positive attitude about your misfortune, Thomas.
Murphy’s Law is not normally so charitable and forgiving.

Does this mean I have to buy a lava lamp?

You never know what you’ll attract when you put food on the porch!
I hope you’re feeling better today. I’m off to Day Camp swim tests in a few minutes, with Sally, Vlad, and whichever Arnett boy gets in the van when I stop at their house. I have enough trouble keeping track of my own kids!
When I’m with the Cub Scouts, I’ll point at a kid and say, “You, Turner brother! Come help with this table.” “You, Mullins brother! Get down from there!” Cracks the parents up.

Pugs’ snorts sound like someone snoring VERY loudly, and they will do it when they are excited or apprehensive or want your attention. And they do, indeed, snore.
But they are such fun little dogs.

My BP is coming down, which I knew it would, but I will have to check it again in a couple of hours. I’m NOT taking any more of that med!
No one called back last night by 1900, so I’m thinking it will be Monday. A weekend, y’know, in an HMO.
If I had enough money left, I would send for the Carditone, but it’s $35 a bottle and that’s more than I have left. I DO have washing money, and that’s a big help! Two rolls of quarters should get me through several weeks, now that I have to wash more often.
It’s 80 degrees and the sky is just beginning to get light. But the humidity is 35%. It should dry out after the sun comes up, but there is no wind, and I didn’t see any storms to the south to mess up my breathing.

"Does this mean I have to buy a lava lamp?" Galileo had one. You've already got a replica of his "lava lamp".

“Flaming hawk”....is that a new code word for militant homosexuals?
Sorry, I just can’t keep up with all the newspeak labels.

Galileo’s runs on air temperature.
Lava lamps run on electricity, and I would need a space on a flat surface near an electrical outlet to put it. Not gonna happen.

Or just precariously balance it on a handrail like Humpty Dumpty and let it run on solar energy.

There is only one thing I have that runs on solar energy...my Good Luck Kitty that keeps waving in the luck. In small increments. Minutely — small.

"Good Luck Kitty that keeps waving in the luck. In small increments. Minutely small." Yeah, good idea. Most of us aren't prepared to have luck come in in large amounts the way it did for ThomasThomas.

Where are the ice giants?
Where is Doggerland?
Where is Beringea?
But seriously folks, I think we should defund poverty.
