Len Bias’ mother said that the lowest moment of her life was to stand on the grave of one son (a brilliant athlete who died of a drug overdose) to bury a second son, who had died from gun violence. God bless these mothers.
And who to hate and when to riot.
I’d say the mom of Len Bias failed to instill the proper values in him.
No one held him down and forced large amounts of cocaine up his nose.
A great spot for the Obammy museum and library.
As I remember, it was his first time. The first time anyone had a car accident in my family, my brother had one and died. People make mistakes and accusing her, especially as far as they had come, is a cruel way to punish her more than the grief of the loss of her child. Cocaine and the athlete heart don’t mix. He made a mistake, she paid the price.
