:-). My dad always had a spare fan belt and the big stick he used to stretch it over the pulleys. The only time I remember being towed was when a second one snapped before he had the chance to buy a replacement. No vampires though.
With an air cooled rear engine, when the fan belt broke you had to get the engine turned off pretty quickly.
You want tech headaches? I bought one of those Durango 95 sports cars with the Richard Bachman-level AI.
The thing keeps claiming its frame hurts beacause there are six people in the car when it’s only me. It mocks me when I use the GPS, saying,”an elephant never forgets an address”. The ‘Go gets nervous in bad neighborhoods and abandons me to hoof it home alone. And finally, it gets drunk on E15 gas and starts weaving in front of cops because it thinks it’s funny.
There’s more than 1 reason I own a ‘55 chevy.
