Keeping the I r s is the nutter position. This country survived over 100 years without that out of control agency. Gee how did we survive?

Thanks, interesting article. I disagree with his premise, that Cruz can’t win. But he’s absolutely right about the way the media has systematically smeared Cruz, and low-information types (whether lib, moderate or GOP) are likely to believe that constant drumbeat of hype.
I’m going to write a vanity soon about how we, the foot soldiers, need to be a LOT more vocal, and take back the “mind territory” we’ve ceded to the Left in the last few generations. We have a leader - Cruz - and now we need to get moving!

Caution: That flame icon to the left of his name is much too much like something I’ve seen - don’t know where - the muslims use - Cruz should NOT use it.
Come up with something else - PLEase.

These signs are magnetic.
I put them on the car prior to the morning commute (35 miles), remove them upon arrival at the office, put the signs on for the evening commute.
Then they're removed when I get home in the evening.
I figure that one hundred (100) drivers see the signs daily.

Deceptive advertising, insofar as the IRS is never going to be abolished and the “illegal amnesty” Cruz wants to stop is simply Obama granting amnesty on his own. Cruz favors legalization for illegals.
Yet, he’s the best candidate we have so far.

But the phrase is in reference to pulling in the reins on horses.
To: Old Yeller
And in the process, your car will be vandalized.Could be right, but they better not get caught in the process, because if I'm in fear for my life because vandals are threatening me, I live a "castle doctrine" state.

Deceptive advertising, insofar as the IRS is never going to be abolished What were the chances that a rag tag group of farmers and rabble-rousers could defeat the greatest military power in the world?
Using your theory that it can't be done, it would never have been tried.
Did you know that almost 60% of the colonists were either neutral or pro-british during the Revolutionary War? Not much different than the political split today.

I don't agree. The IRS can be abolished, eventually.
How is this done ?
1) Pass a "Flat Tax Option"
2) Set-up a new (smaller non-IRS agency) to administer it.
3) In time (over 10 years) the majority of the American people will gravitate to the simpler Flat Tax
In this sense, for 75% of the American people, the "IRS has been abolished" from their financial lives
4) Meantime, the existing IRS is used to administer taxes (etc) for large corporations
5) Hopefully, gradually, tax laws are changed for these corporations as well. The simpler laws are administered by the new agency.
6) Setting up a "new agency" is important. New people. Smaller. Clear, simpler operating rules.
Most taxpayers will gravitate towards that in time, although it might take 20 years.
.
To: Patton@Bastogne
Yeah—then why not just “abolish the government”—and set up a new, smaller one?
The feds are always going to collect taxes and they are always going to need some kind of agency to do so.
To: USS Alaska
Cruz isn’t going to attempt to abolish the IRS.
What is the plan he has proposed to do so?
To: 9YearLurker
Cruz isnt going to attempt to abolish the IRS.
OK, Fine. EPA and Dept of Education are the ones that really need to go.

I’d seriously rein in the EPA and absolutely, totally eliminate the Department of Education. We shouldn’t be in the business of student grants and loans, national standards, or any of that at all.
Lots of smaller fry to dispose of as well. The SBA, for example. Heck, why not the Department of Commerce altogether?
