They weren’t afraid of American soldiers, but they sure were afraid of the American Air Force. “Better a Russian on your belly than an American on your head,” they used to say.
I’m suggesting that the German women may have been a bit more practical-minded then the reminisces of American soldiers give them credit for.
Practical minded like the other European women that fell head over heels for American men?
For instance the British females?
No, they aren’t.
Having actually been to Russia several times, I can tell you they are a friendly and lovely people, and Russia is a stunning country with great history and art.
It’s nice that you visited there, but look at their history, including recent, and even current.
