As a young man I needed an outlet. Went hunting, fishing, played softball, lifted weights, chased women, rode motorcycles ....didn’t need a shrink or drugs (cept beer) as long as I kept busy. Lots of testosterone to burn off. Nothing bizarre about that.
I totally agree. That’s why I said he’s in the ideal career. Everyone in the game is volunteering to hit and be hit with as much protection as the league will offer.
Hopefully he’ll learn how to manage that desire with those smarts of his by the time he gets out of the game.
You obviously are short on brain cells. Men do not have a need to hit other men, and when they don’t hit others it doesn’t fester into a mood altering problem. If you suffer from this as well go get help.
Nope, nothing. Nothing odd about contests of strength, either, imho.
However, you didn't include "loving to hit people" on your list of normal youthful male activities.
Actually it is you that lacks in brain cells, and other aspects of being a robust man.
From the beginning of time, masculine men, the warrior types, have fought, wrestled and competed in mock combat with each other, no matter whether Mongols, Romans, Sioux, or Americans.
One cannot learn to fight, defend, protect, and physically dominate and overcome, without lots of experience and practice and learning.
Thanks for the link. That is one fine article.
He’s obviously a smart kid, and a good kid. He spends a lot of time in schools trying to bring kids to math.
The few on this thread that have called him names and made fun of him need to look in the mirror. He’s already accomplished more in his 24 years than they will in their lives. Combined.
He sounds very grounded to me. A 24 year old professional football player with a Masters Degree in math carrying a 4.0 average.
Honest As to why he likes football and makes no apologies.
The world could do with more men like him.
I like it that he is an avid Chess player. And you are so right, we the people need more MEN like him.
