Okay, thanks, guys...you all make sense. I’m going to have to watch again myself.
Watching our folks try to acclimate themselves to civilization is fascinating.
Personally, I think Rick was introspectively “teasing” the walker; experiencing the “feel” of having a zombie so close, yet unable to get at him.
And Carol-I dont believe she is a sociopath. I believe her instinct for survival is utterly ruthless though.
The scene where shes scaring the kid was darkly funny and I saw a glimpse of regret in her eyes as she was speaking.
Yes, Carol is a survivor with a good heart. She’s my favorite character.
I have to disagree completely.
I think the whole point of Alexandria is they've been able to preserve much of their former lives, and our group is torn between their own experience and Alexandria's obvious success.
The best analogy I can think of is the conceit of a person for those who don't lock their doors at night when the simple fact is, given their geographic region, they really don't need to.
Personally, I think Rick was introspectively teasing the walker; experiencing the feel of having a zombie so close, yet unable to get at him.
That’s a good thought.
And maybe Rick was thinking that he and the others in the group weren’t going to let Deanna’s people get them anymore than the Walkers have.
The group simply don’t like a bunch of softy control freaks.
Don’t conflate our preferences with the group’s.
Rick was a COP, for Pete’s sake. The “live free or die” ethos is not his first choice for lifestyle.
There’s a 50% chance that Deanna was a typical leftie Democrat congresswoman. That pretty much says it all re: the trouble and problems the group will have at Alexandra.
Deanna sounds like your average lalaland liberal. After exiling some members for whatever reason...not even considering the possibility of their retaliation. Not having a full-time watchperson in the clock tower. Not allowing folks to be armed while in the compound. The list will probably be endless as the story progresses. And Glenn has already butted heads with her moronic son.
I’m not confusing the issue.. The group doesn’t like control freaks.
Lol! And the writers had better not make Daryl like it, if he does drop the soap! I will stop watching if that happens.
Don’t worry, it won’t happen. LOL
I haven't.
I’m enjoying the show and I hope you are, too.
I might trust Aaron, but would probably flee when I saw Daryl.
Excellent point. Of all of them, Daryl would be the last one suited as a "recruiter" due to his hostile appearance and mannerisms. So what would be the reason behind asking Daryl to take that task? Hmmm....
Isn’t the fence reinforced on the wrong side? I would think those bars would be on the inside.
But yeah, she's a lib. Bringing that group in is reckless. I recall back to when Rick was telling the Governor that they could live beside each other in peace, and I knew that couldn't happen. There's probably some connection to that here, but I'm not sure what. Rick needs to be in charge or at least given preference in being listened to.
One thing that was odd that Aaron made it sound like several groups have auditioned ("I usually drive back") but I didn't get that from Deanna, etc.
Well Rick knows only too well that there are other groups out there, like both groups the governor had behind him, that are a major threat. If he trusted Deanna he would have filled her in on that reality and fact. But it would seem that Rick has learned not to trust anyone. Smart man.
