Scotty suffered damage to his fingers on D-Day. He was always self conscious about it and managed to hide that hand in most episodes.
Me, I would have considered it a badge of honor.
Prayers up. He’s provided a lot of entertainment over the years.
Prayers for Mr. Nimoy’s health.
Good thing he has a spare, what with being a Vulcan and all.
I hope it’s not curtains for Kid Monk Baroni.
Met Nimoy briefly once, and he came across quite nice and friendly. Enjoy spotting his pre-Trek appearances in westerns and such. He appeared in a lot of old shows.
Live long and prospe .... Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!
I always enjoyed his character of Spock.
By the way, he wrote and performed this song himself for the episode Plato's Stepchildren.
Take care, young ladies, and value your wine.
Be watchful of young men in their velvet prime.
Deeply they'll swallow from your finest kegs,
Then swiftly be gone, leaving bitter dregs.
Ahh-ah-ah-ah, bitter dregs.
With smiling words and tender touch,
Man offers little and asks for so much.
He loves in the breathless excitement of night,
Then leaves with your treasure in cold morning light.
Ahh-ah-ah-ah, in cold morning light
Nimoy was born on March 26, 1931 in Boston, Massachusetts in the West End, to Yiddish-speaking Orthodox Jewish immigrants from Iziaslav, Soviet Union (now Ukraine). His father, Max Nimoy, owned a barbershop in the Mattapan section of the city. His mother, Dora Nimoy (née Spinner), was a homemaker.
Nimoy began acting at the age of eight in children’s and neighborhood theater. His parents wanted him to attend college and pursue a stable career, or even learn to play the accordionwith which, his father advised, Nimoy could always make a livingbut his grandfather encouraged him to become an actor. His first major role was at 17, as Ralphie in an amateur production of Clifford Odets’ Awake and Sing![9] Nimoy took drama classes at Boston College in 1953 but failed to complete his studies, and in the 1970s studied photography at the University of California, Los Angeles. He has an MA in Education from Antioch College, an honorary doctorate from Antioch University in Ohio, and an honorary doctorate of humane letters from Boston University.
Nimoy served as a sergeant in the United States Army from 1953 through 1955, alongside fellow actor Ken Berry and architect Frank Gehry.

Fascinating. :)
My prayers are with Mr. Nimoy, that he recover speedily.
Somebody alert Sheldon.....
It could be nothing. Remember that the Vulcan heart is where the human liver should be. So if it was a pain in the side that would be more serious.
