I visited a friend who had set up an anechoic chamber in his house, presumably to be able to record sounds or sound effects, or for some even more inscrutable reason.

Possibly because the material he used was difficult to come by, he did this in the smallest room in his place, the bathroom.

A darkroom in a bathroom makes more sense than a recording studio set up in one, unless you’re trying for really special, and quite gross, sound effects.

We saw the owners of guinea pigs in the Walmart yesterday afternoon. The mother said she was pleasantly surprised that the rodents were still alive ;-). I apologized for breaking into their house, but she didn’t care.

They had been on a tour of several European countries.

I haven’t heard from the people who are to take me for my epidural today, but I will act as if I have. In view of everything else that has been going on, I don’t really need this to cope with.

Busdaddy is strung out and stressed out and worried sick about his truck and how he will get it fixed. I told him to ask his son and one of his brothers, rather than try and get it all from the same place. $4500 is a lot for anyone to come up with all at once.

And I’m still worried that DMV will fine me out of existence, even if Mr. Bill does pass the smog test this time. This is such a worry. I’m too old to start walking to Walmart again. And too poor to take a taxi home.

Now I’m going to go take a shower and hope to wash some of this doom and gloom down the drain.
