The name seems to be a contraction of Ta Shing (the manufacturer) and Baba (the name of a very popular boat they built in the past).
Toshiba is Japanese
Tashiba is Taiwanese
Either way, we hope to sail her to both places one day.

That picture shows the hull/sail “set” on one course. It will help if the wind is in one direction and hurt otherwise. They won’t build it and lose interior volume.
