"That whole World War I thing probably had more to do with Hitler becoming Hitler than this did."
Very true.

Hitler actually had some passing talent as an artist. He made a living — albeit a meager one — selling paintings of architecture in Vienna for a brief period.

Dear Mr. Adolf Hitler,
You suck. Have you given any thought towards becoming a despot and killing millions? You might be better at this than art.

Adolf, you are in, but your work is crap, Yeah, it wasn't exactly a love letter. I believe he'd already been rejected once, though.

I have studied Hitler a little, read a couple of good histories and biographies.
He was a brilliant man. He did great evil, but he was brilliant, just as Alexander, Ghengis Khan, Mao Ze Dong, and Mohammed were brilliant, but did great evil.
It is nearly impossible for an average or mediocre man to do great evil.

I can't make heads or tails out of this letter but I do have a Partridge Family mystery book to figure out.

The kicker sentence is
“The perfect randomness that your work radiates, makes us momentarily doubt that you are the right person to expand your horizons at our academy.”
That’s a better translation. It’s a nice rejection notice.
