Of course the benefit of the doubt goes to the black women. After all, there are no documented cases of out of control black women, right. Its the privileged, white guys at the fraternity who are automatically guilty and must receive the "sensitivity" training.

African-American Cultural Center You're either African or you're American.
And if you're African, then your cultural center belongs in Africa.

When I was younger I used to wonder why a lot of black guys pursued white women over black women, now that I’m a little older I know why.

Given past history I would bet the charges of sexist and racist comments are false or this is some sort of microaggression charge.

why didn’t you at least post the part with the allegations?
This is a subscription site so we can’t actually read the article.

These allegations are new? I call hogwash! If racial slurs were really used they would have been front and center in the original complaint! The alleged slurs are made up out of whole cloth.

in this day and age i’m sure there are numerous videos of the confrontation taken with people’s cell phones. let’s see and hear what happened. else i tend to disbelieve. put up or shut up

In my “limited” experience some (not all) black women can be, let’s just say, a little difficult to deal with. So can other races of women you say? It’s just not the same.......Just my 2 cent.

I read that it started out as a disagreement between a black sorority and a fraternity over painting of a rock or some such on campus....the allegations of calling racist names came LATER after the main incident...fraternity denies it...
too bad fraternities have such a horrible reputation......they could clean it up, but they don't, so they are fair game for people to attack them.

Yeah, I can’t remember ever seeing a white chick throwing a table at somebody. I have had a couple of black women threaten me with physical violence though.

well, the good news is that those guys are now republican voters.

It’s like those Black Caucus members who got heckled in front of the Capital; they claimed racial epithets were thrown (spit too, iirc) then cell phone video came out showing nothing of the sort.
Defensive use of video technology, to provide an authoritative record in the face of accusations, is nothing new.

I dont have a subscription and read the whole long story.

The Black population of Mansfield, Connecticut (Storrs is the village) is related to UConn, either as students or as professors).
Of course, Kevin Ollie (UConn's men's basketball coach) lives in Glastonbury.

exactly. the allegations get out before any evidence supporting them ever gets out. and with all the fake racism events on colleges of late, one greets this with some skepticism.

“A black sorority”...
If you want to isolate yourself racially don’t be surprised when others do the same.
