It’s time to replay those clips of BO “working out” hilarious, what a wimp.
Your are exactly right. The guy was stupid, a terrible president and got us into a war that was totally unnecessary. Neither Iraq nor Afghanistan were fought to win, that is kill the enemy. Thousands of brave young men have lost their lives and many thousands more have been maimed for life.
I voted for Peroutka in 2004. I was fooled at first but by then I had wised up. The country would have been better if Bush had done absolutely nothing after 911. He should have bombed the hell out of some Muslaim sh!tholes and left our soldiers at home to guard the borders.
If he had been serious he would have stopped ALL immigration.
They are both worth millions. Both live in gated communities with armed Secret Service agents and positioned far above and beyond the negative fallout from the open borders policies both advocated best they could. Of course Obama has done them 20x better on open borders but is their logical successor on allowing in illegal aliens.
Plus all the Bush and Clinton offspring are living lives of wealth in 10 million dollar condominiums in NYC and other places
In the higher echelons in politics there is no difference between the Pubbies and the RATS,
And neither does it matter to GW that he projected a totally wrong picture of Islam when he called it a ROP.
I’m truly sorry I voted for this douchbag in 2000 & 2004.
You got that right.
Rockefeller really got around in those days.
I agree with your post and also would like to add - that being a former President of the U.S. is a very small club. I think they can talk over their terms in the WH and understand each other, like no one else can. I doubt that Obama will have anything to do with the former presidents when his time is up - he isn’t of the same mold.
Embrace the suck, Jorge.
Shhhh you’re letting the cat out of the bag.
Remember, W Bush never had the capacity, wherewithall, or WIT to ever defend himself when insulted or maligned during his entire time in office. Reagan would have had a witty retort if it were him..and that’s one of the reasons that W Bush ended up disgusting me...after I voted for him twice. I have no respect for him...he’s a phony, two-faced a Rino if there ever was. I’ll say what I posted yesterday,....that we haven’t had a REAL PRESIDENT since Ronald Wilson Reagan.
I am too...I should have boycotted both elections.
The Alfred E Newman-looking idiot must love being a punching bag.
There were a lot of problems with W as a president, but when he was in office early on there wasn't much pressure to hold his feet to the fire.
We gave him a pass early on. He used it. And we complained about him afterwards, forgetting maybe that we didn't demand more from him early on.
You're right though that he didn't show much ability to defend himself, especially towards the end. He just sort of crumpled up.
“We should remember one other thing: it was rare, extremely rare that a VP would go on to be President. Not since Martin Van Buren had it happened.”
Van Buren? What about Ford, Lyndon Johnson, Truman, Teddy Roosevelt, Chester Arthur, Andrew Johnson? Yes, I know none of them were elected outright for their first terms, but does that matter? President of the United States has historically been a fairly hazardous job considering the nature of the duties the office entails.
Also, you might want to look into Mrs. Cruz before deciding Ted Cruz will be a better president than Reagan. As far as I’m concerned he’s more of the same and playing us all for fools.
Yes, it matters. As you finally acknowledged all those VPs you list came to be Presidents without first being elected as President. And there are plenty of VPs that tried to get in by running for the office but failed.
It matters because very very few presidents leave office more popular than when they arrived; RR was one of those rare ones. People thought GHWB would carry RR’s spirit and persona into the next cycle.
Martin Van Buren was the only President before GHWB that got elected in the clear. And it was all over the press how GHWB had a tough hill to climb because of all the previous failures. In fact, Dukakis led for most of the campaign until the GOP convention when a short film of GHWB’s life showed his WWII service and a few other patriotic heart tuggers.
Heidi Cruz has been discussed plenty of times on FR. She’s a managing VP, not an upper echelon VP. GS has 35,000 employees. Heidi is not one of their big fishes.
She’s an asset to him and he to her.
Cruz is the real deal. He reflects FR’s values better than anyone on FR including longtimers here!
Reagan was a giant compared to many other presidents, but he absolutely towers over the last four. “W” makes me as sick as does obola.
He was an embarrassment....today, he disgusts me. Oh, how I wish Ronald Reagan was still out President....I know all about the impossibility/implausibility fantasy aspect of saying that, but I still wish it.
