re: they have obviously never been to that damned Its a Small World attraction at Disneyland...oh crap make it stop!! Makeitstop!
I used to hate that song......until I became a parent. Going on that ride that seems to last forever is the best way to get a good rest at Disneyland.

The Spice Girls’ fame...did it even last the proverbial 15 minutes?

RE: Nope, 1st 4 notes of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony.
Some people could identify Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik from the first three notes.

8. Whitney Houston - I Will Always Love You - 2.83 s (3:09)
My alternate title: I will always gag (every time I hear it).

I know tons of Aerosmith songs, their contribution is at #10. “I don’t want to miss a thing” that I barely know and certainly isn’t from their golden age.
In this vein of rock,
Smoke on the water
Black Dog
For starters... I mean, they put a straight reggae song into the list at “Rivers of Babylon”. The list is subjective, maybe it is a bigger song over in UK.
Though, I would not even buy the song, that Wham song, George Michael’s “Wake me up before you go” would seem to be proper for this list.

I totally disagree.
The number one song that is the catchiest in my honest opinion is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NrI-UBIB8Jk
Blue Suede: Hooked on a feeling. The first “Ooga Chugga” hooks you. Less than 1 second.

As long it’s played from the pipe organ, the first three notes will identify it.

Ok - full disclosure: If trapped on a desert isle with the ability to listen to only one song, I’d go with your’s.
“Joyful, joyful...”
Indeed, thanks...
