... internal statewide poll conducted earlier this week shows Cochran stuck at 45%.
After 42 years in Washington and $7 million dollars spent in this election,
Cochran still cannot convince a majority of Mississippians to support him.
His trouble begins within his own party:
at this juncture, Cochran can count on less than 45% of the McDaniel primary voters.
Congressman Childers is getting MORE THAN a fifth of the remaining McDaniel supporters
and almost 4 in ten of these REGULARLY Republican voters are still CONSIDERING their options…..

The numbers show a path to victory:
Cochran is stuck in the mid 40’s at best.
A robust turnout among traditional Democrats
and a strong Childers vote in the first CD where he has higher name ID
and crossover appeal could produce AN UPSET.
