2. So what if the Republicans take the Senate? They will still give Emperor Zero everything he wants, including AMNESTY and ObamaCare Forever.
Doesn't matter who is in office. The tyranny never stops.
Yeah I hear the same lackluster stuff about Gillespie too. And I’m sure its all true. But the washington post of all papers called the warner gillespie debate two mondays ago—the debate from hell.

It was after that the first reports of warners internals started imploding.
This election few dems are going to show up. Obama has tied himself to all the democrats running. This has severe consequences. His major constituencies like single women are feeling pretty antsy about their safety. Many anti war democrats will not be able to tell the difference between good obama bombs over iraq and syria and bad bush bombs over iraq. Black women will show up for Obama but likely fewer black men. Hard to say what hispanics will do but Obama’s numbers among them are down as they are with everyone else.
I’m in Northern Virginia. This is where Obama has to hold the state. This area is increasingly democrat. The democrat ground game is reported to be pretty strong. But there are so many liberals on tv tearing their clothes that even though gillespie is not an inspiring candidate — he could be swept into office by a wave. It wouldn’t even have to be a big wave to wash gillespie in because so few democrats will show up.
That’s my 2 cents. I’m usually an optimist.
I think everyone else pretty much answered your query in the thread. MI, which should’ve been a pickup for us (it’s been 20 years since the GOP won a Senate race), has been a fiasco with Land not able to make any headway at all in months. As someone who has won statewide twice, she ought to be demolishing the Democrat.
SD has been a weird race, but ultimately, Rounds will pull it out with a plurality. Frankly, he should’ve run against Johnson in ‘08 and would not likely be having to deal with this stuff left over from the Governorship. Given how it’s turned out, Kristi Noem should’ve run instead. I presume she’s waiting on Thune to retire.
As for NC, Hagen may yet win it. Tillis was a poor choice, as I surmised back in the primary. Establishment nominees don’t turn out the base.
GA, it appears unlikely either candidate will get to 50%, although you never know. Nunn would have to get that outright to win. A runoff and she loses. If we had a similar situation in NC, Tillis would probably pull it off.
As for VA, I would be shocked if Gillespie wins.
Why has land been so bad? Isn’t’t this a Tea Party candidate?
She's not explicitly TP, but someone generally seen as acceptable to both sides. Frankly, I don't know what's been going on with her for months. I'm pinging CrippleCreek to the convo, since he's our lead Michigan FReeper, and should have more insight than I do.
Thanks. I really do hope she can pull it off. Need to go nuclear in these last two weeks when people really start to focus on the election.
Rather you didn’t add to the complacency factor. Dims are experts at stealing elections. Watch at least 2 senate and 8 house seats be Frankenized.
When the GOP retakes the senate...
From what you say, I smell an upset in Michigan.
I won’t go that far but its more promising than the national media and GOPe are willing to admit.
We’re used to doing things on our own but we’ll take any help we can get.
