It’s still dark here, and also raining.
Ah, but I am ingesting coffee, and things are looking brighter.
It is now dimly light outside, while the dimness within is intellectual and spiritual.
Elen is taking the PSAT this morning. All other activities are contingent up the washer-repair service.
Intellectually, we know that the sun never goes out. A misleading characteristic of global rotation puts us in Earth's shadow on a quite regular basis.
Do not be deceived by this. The spiritual highlight of every day is not its dawning, but your awakening.
My thoughts are with Elen.
Welcome back my friends
To the show that never ends
We’re so glad you could attend
Come inside, come inside

That is about the size of it.
Catz are picky like that.
It’s a larnin’ experience, rather than an actual scholarship shot. She is not one of our students who has test-aptitude.
Weigh day. The results are not pretty. I knew I was off the diet, but not by how much. I gained four pounds. So I immediately headed for Walmart and got some fruits. On the way home, I remembered I only had two potatoes left, and decided to wait until tomorrow to get them. If I get up early enough, I can get to Walmart and back before Shawn gets here at 0700.
I WILL bring in the book case today! As for assembling it, I’m afraid, because of the size, it will require four hands.
69 and no breeze at all. The sky was beautiful when I left for Walmart...pink clouds and blue sky with the sun not quite up, yet.
Sorry about your gain ... but every day is a fresh new start! I can’t tell you how many fresh new starts I’ve made in just the last few months ;-).
It’s 71 and sunny now, but the cats already gave up on the day when it was raining at 0530. The washer repairman said he’ll be here “after noon,” so I took some children to the gym. After Tom picks Elen up from the PSAT and they have lunch, they can go to the Laundromat. Even it the washer is fixed this afternoon, I’m already four loads behind and it’s not even noon.
” Certain books like some that I know are in your library. Ahem. “

” Elen is taking the PSAT this morning.”
Ah......second year of HS.....
Preliminary Sadistic Aptitude Test.
Thank you, suh!
The gain was my own fault. When I get depressed, I have a tendency to eat the wrong things and I know it. I just didn’t have the right things and didn’t care.
So I gained. I will try to walk more often, but even that is dependent on how achy my joints are. I’m hoping the epidural can be scheduled shortly after the MRI so at least my joints can loosen up some. That would be wonderful!
The last epidural I had was in 1996, and it lasted almost 16 years. I can hope for something as good this time... ;o]
Good luck on the washer. I’m so hoping they will replace it for you! And it won’t hurt Tom and Elen to do more laundry. After all, they are some of the contributors!
She doesn’t have a great deal of Scholastic Aptitude, but she’ll pull herself together for the ASVAB when it really matters.
Making you just like almost all of us!
I took the ASVAB 24 years ago, right after I met Busdaddy, who was a recruiter at the time. I failed!
I never have tested well. My papers were all good, but I did so lousy on tests it’s a wonder I got through school. I think the only test I excelled in was the GED.
