I have to go to the post office soon, to make sure my friend gets her skates back. Then I will go price some Christmas things at Dollar Tree. I probably won’t buy because I went $40 over my budget this morning, and I still have the month to go. *sigh* One thing after another....

Today was Weigh Day. I stayed the same, even with Thanksgiving. Maybe next week, I will see a loss. I’m shooting for four pounds.

There’s a way to go on that, too, but I think once I lose more weight (at least 10 more pounds) that will continue to come down as well.
Now if I can just get the arthritis under control...

Hypoglycemia and diabetes should be treated the same, but the doctors make more money keeping a diabetic dependent on insulin. The hypoglycemia is what makes this diet so hard for me, because the between meal snack must have protein. Otherwise, I have low-blood sugar episodes.
If my son had stayed on his hypoglycemic diet, he would not now be diabetic. I have stressed this for several years, but he would rather listen to a doctor who keeps him dependent than his mother with 50 years experience. It makes me sad.

I just called the vet clinic that has “April” the black cat, who has yet to tell me her name, and they said I could come tomorrow and take her home, and they would “work with me” on the $40 chip registration fee!

One way I try to keep my BP down is to turn off the news.
It keeps sneaking up on me, though.
I keep the volume of the TV so low, it’s just like white noise, so that’s not the cause of the high stress. Probably the excess weight I’m carrying around, so I’m working at losing it. I. WILL. WIN.

We put up some decorations outside - hung plastic balls from our pathetic maple tree and draped some garland on the mailbox. It’s nothing like the neighbors’ on either side, but at least it shows we’re making an effort.
I found a bin with the lights and will get the Tall But Idle Youths to work on them tomorrow. I guess it’s too late for the orange lights, unless we want to look like total redneck trash.
