Well, phooey. Wish I could fix my post, which obviously has some misplaced code, but no do-overs on FR. LOL.
If any of the moderator’s have html experience, could you fix my centering and color coding for me on my above “Oh Tannenbaum” post? If not, that’s okay. We’ll just leave it the way it is. TIA.

LOL ... I didn’t know you did anything like this.
So often, I preview and everything looks fine ... then I hit post. LOL
Love your posts, Lori. It is great to see you here again.

Thank you for visiting with us today.
I'm sorry I couldn't spend more time with you.
I made a big dent in my Christmas shopping.
I'm hoping to finish up before the weekend.
Have a restful night with pleasant dreams.
Merry Christmas to y'all!

A Work In Progress
Pablo Casals was considered to be the preeminent cellist of the first half of the 20th century. When he was still playing his cello in the middle of his tenth decade of life, a young reporter asked, Mr. Casals, you are 95 years old and the greatest cellist that ever lived. Why do you still practice 6 hours a day?
Mr. Casals answered, Because I think Im making progress.
What a great attitude! As believers in Christ, we should never be satisfied to think we have reached some self-proclaimed pinnacle of spiritual success, but rather continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18). Jesus reminds us in John 15:16 that He chose us to go and bear fruit. The result of healthy growth is continuing to bear spiritual fruit throughout our lives. Our Lord promises: I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit (v.5).
In a steady and faithful progression to become more and more like the One we love and serve, we can be confident that He who began a good work in us will continue it until it is finally finished on the day when He returns (Phil. 1:6).
Closer yet Id cling, my Savior,
Youre the all-sufficient Vine;
You alone can make me fruitful,
Blessed source of strength divine. Bosch
Gods unseen work in our hearts produces fruit in our lives.
Two ideas appear repeatedly in todays passage: love and obedience. The two are related, and it is important to understand their order and priority. In verse 9, Jesus reminds His disciples that He has loved them. In verse 10, He tells them that obedience to His commands is the way to respond to that love. Gods love for us is the first and primary part of our relationship with Him, and obediencewhich leads to bearing fruitis our response.

A happy warm fuzzy Wednesday to all!
We have had a week with no sunshine here in Wisconsin.
I am grateful that it is not 20 below zero like last winter.
It has been around 40 for long enough, that our ground is no longer frozen from earlier cold this winter.
The birds are enjoying the seed in their feeders, the dogs are napping. It is good napping weather.
I am playing 3 songs at Advent service tonight. “Mary Did You Know”, “What Child Is This” and then “O Tannebaum” for which I have asked 2 friends to sing it in German as I play.
I am hoping to feel calm and not make any noticeable errors.
Mary Did You Know is so beautiful. By the third verse I sometimes tear up or get goosebumps. I hope the people who hear it tonight have a good reaction to it like that.
Cheers to All!
To: The Mayor
Rus, for starting our day off right every day.

Thanks for the update, TheConservativeParty! It’s in the 40s here in Massachusetts today. That’s warm for this time of year. We have no snow on the ground, which is also not typical. I’m fine with it, though.
I hope that you get some sunshine soon.
