I also lean towards Mr. Druitt as the No. 1 suspect. As do I. Mainly because, every time a "new answer" comes forward, it doesn't take long for to discover something that casts doubt.
But Druitt has been out of the closet for 55 years, and nothing has been put forward that actually rules him out.

The best of the Ripper tours are run by Yeoman of the Guard (Beefeaters) from the Tower of London, as a way of generating extra private income. It can be hard to identify these tours though.

An ethnic German was also a suspect; and for that matter, there are over 600 letters purporting to be from Jack the Ripper, and not all of them are, and it’s also possible that none of them are.
If DB Cooper can’t be identified, and that was merely 40 years ago...

Or not even a particular person, just one who had some of the same DNA as some people now alive.

I'm guessing a "hairdresser" back then probably dealt with the powdered wigs of the day and such. Just a guess though.

I’m surprised nobody’s claimed they have a “ripper” behind their zipper yet.... Oh wait. Can I say that?

One of my favorite movies!
I still don't trust David Warner.
Does he ever play anything but a creepy guy?

Really? I thought all this time it was the prince. Really? I would have guessed Billy Jeff, in a previous life, before he was reincarnated in Arkansas in 1946.

That's why I liked David Warner so much as Bob Cratchit in the George C. Scott version of A Christmas Carol.

Actually this only links him to one of the murders Article also says that the police were pretty sure he was guilty and surveilled the perp of this one murder until he was institutionalized as insane. The article didnt mention whether there were any Ripper murders after that surveillance began - but had there been, it would have certainly affected his continued status as a suspect in all of the Ripper murders - including the one in which the DNA test confirms his culpability.
But maybe video evidence will turn up which exonerates him in some other Ripper murder. </sarcasm>

Ok people, let's move on. Whoever he is, he's dead. All the rest of them are dead.
What we really should be worrying about, is that Laz is still walking around.

Several letters were written by someone purporting to be ‘’Jack The Ripper’’ but most were deemed fakes. I believe one that was addressed ‘’From Hell’’ and supposedly written in blood was felt to be authentic. It contains phrases unique to the type of syntax spoken by the lower class Brits(’’cockneys’’) “I did a proper job killing that one’’ and ‘’my knife is right sharp and I’m keen to set to work right quick, cheerio’’. This letter was also said to have enclosed with it what was determined to be a human liver. If Kominski was clever enough to write a letter taunting the police and including lower class English cockney colloquialisms he’d have been clever indeed.

No it wasn’t! It was “Tounces The Driving Cat’’. He did have a car and he drove around all over the town..... oh, wait. They didn’t have cars in 1888. Never mind.
