Or Albuquirky.
I learned my family wasn’t so bad after all.
It was a great lesson for my girls growing up about the type of people they didn’t want to hang with or become.
Is inhaling spray paint a crime?
I realize it’s a very bad idea, but a crime? What do they call it?
“Anyone waht watched COPS and isnt on the side of the police has the IQ of a Holder.”
One thing I’ve learned after watching COPS. They are a lot more respectful and patient with cameras running.
I have been harshly critical of cops on many of these threads here. I’m not anti-cop. I’m anti bad cop. Hell, I know there are a lot of bad, crazy, sorry, good-for-nothing, white trash, pos people out there. Even they don’t deserve summery execution though.
It made me surprised more cops don’t just burst into flames.
Imagine what real punishment might do?
Public hangings, pubic canings, the stocks, hard labor...
"A good friend will come bail you out of jail at 2am. A GREAT friend will be sitting there beside you saying, 'Wasn't that sumthin?'"
All the more reason to be in favor of police wearing body cams.
It is more than probable if Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson was wearing one on that fateful day, there would have been no riots, no looting and no Al Sharpton.
“Or Albuquirky.”
No joke. They will kill you there. With impunity.
(Coming from an Albuquirky ex-pat...)
“Is inhaling spray paint a crime?”
They probably got him for public intoxication or something, as he was on the streets and obviously quite impaired. I think some states do have laws specifically against intentionally inhaling toxic substances.
.
.
If a woman is busted in a prostitution sting, has no money on her and was earlier dropped off from a gaudy vehicle being driven by a guy with lots of heavy gold-filled jewelry, the cops have every reason to believe her when she protests, “I ain’t got no pimp!”
There’s a sociologist or some such in England who interviewed thousands of inmates in England. Every single one told him that he got into crime because “I fell in with a bad lot.” He never met anyone who WAS the bad lot.
And their parents are the same way. When their little angel does monstrous things, they swear up and down that it was because they were with people who were a bad influence. Their kid is never the bad influence.
I hate to keep bringing Michael Brown up, but when his mother was saying that releasing videos of him grabbing a man’s throat because he dared follow him after being robbed was “character assassination” it was clear to me that she never raised her son to experience limitations/consequences.
So when they experience it for the first time in their lives, their outrage typically turns violent.
You are immune to that jungle of Poison Ivy you just ran through and just rolled around in.
“Adults whose lives are subject to random chance and happenstance; they’re never the cause, always the victim.”
apparently taking their queues from the president
Just saw an article that a C.O.P.S sound technician was killed in a police shoot out in Omaha with a perp with a pellet pistol. Tech was wearing body armor, but was still somehow shot by the cop. How bad of timing is this???? :(
Body armor does not guarantee you will survive.
I have not seen or heard as yet if gunshot missed the armor or penetrated.
It is bad situation all around, however I am surprised that this has not occurred before.
Camera person or technician getting caught between shooters and cops.
One thing I learned from COPS.
There are some very stupid criminals amongst us
I’m surprised this doesn’t happen more often and do not blame the police. These camera operators are as brave as any journalist in a war zone. RIP Bryce Dion.
