MY wife has bitten the forbidden Apple.
I gotta admit, I like the plug and play part. In my industry however, the IBM guys got in early and all the software platforms have stayed that way.
She went to Best Buy so no Apple store prices. Still...
It interfaces well with my PC and HP laptop. The old piece was also Apple. The archive seemed to function okay. Haven’t tried it with the new one yet.
I have a separate WD Passport to fully backup my laptop every few weeks.
I use both a WD 2Tb & 3Tb My Book to back-up my PC weekly, and two more new 3Tbs in boxes as spares, from when Circuit City went under. Got the 2 & 3s for $49ea/$59ea, and a box of 25 32Gb Cruzer thumbdrives for $5ea.
