"Young Blood"
She met him a week ago and he was “everything” to her? Setting the bar a little low there, sweetie?
That said, this dad should understand that his daughtet is an adult and it’s her right to make stupid decisions.
Was Jeremy crusing for chicks at a homeless shelter? Talk about low hanging fruit.
Well the killer is a cop, so nothing bad will happen to him. Anyone want to bet the the dead teen will have "made a threatening gesture?" Since the kid is dead, he certainly won't be contradicting the cop's story.
When he kicked his daughter out, if that is indeed what happened, he lost any right to have much input into what or who she did.
So this hubby and wife hit squad roll up, cap this kid for no reason and they’re out free on the streets? Cops are special people. /s
Anyone else would be charged with first degree murder.
It will be interesting to see what they do with this case.
It doesn’t sound like this cop thought things through very well to say the least.
When it comes to our daughters we can get kind of nuts, but what did he expect when he threw her out on her ass which predictably lead to her stay in a homeless shelter?
Unless there’s something else to this story I’d say this guy needs to go to prison for a long while.
Sadly it’s just another cop who isn’t stable enough to have that job.
And you would think at least one cool head would intervene before things got that bad.
Very sad story.
If you follow the links to the local news story the shooter was arrested on 1st degree murder and the wife was arrested as accessory to 1st degree murder. I believe they are both still in jail as the wife has hidden the car and weapon used in the crime.
#1. The article on daily mail does not say anything about the boy’s family. There are no quotes; angry, aggrieved, vengeful or resigned from any members of the Lake family.
#2. The girl, or 19 y/o woman does not look like her parents. She appears to be Amercian Indian, maybe she’s adopted. Not that it really matters now.
#3. The youth who died, appeared to be part Black. This may explain the unreasonable level of rage over meeting your daughter’s boyfriend.
#4. Those two must have really been drunk to throw their careers and probably their freedom out the window over basic teen behavior. Some people are complete control freaks, and expect to have their way in all family matters.
They are in jail, he is facing 1st-degree murder charges, and his wife has been charged as an accessory.
That’s a start . I wonder what kind of story they’ll concoct to justify the crime.
He could have been a volunteer at the shelter.
I hope that the young girl gets the help she needs after being raised by those two.
Ping?
“. The youth who died, appeared to be part Black. This may explain the unreasonable level of rage over meeting your daughters boyfriend.”
really?
I’m not saying this excuses it. I’m saying even today, some people, both black and white, are very much against inter-racial dating. To explain, or follow the line of illogic is not to automatically excuse.
Nothing new with Tulsa cops. Years ago a TULSA cop ambushed and killed his wife with a crossbow.
The cop parents adopted the girl and her two younger sisters.
Agreed.
From Tulsa Daily World
Officer Wonderful Daddy shot the boy’s 13 year old brother in the arm and shot at his daughter and missed.
They were at Lake’s aunt’s house.
Lake and girl knew each other a couple of weeks. Lake apparently helped at shelter but was not employed there.
People who have recently been cited or arrested by these two may be smiling now.
Kepler wife hid Suburban and pistol.
“Making a threatening gesture” is not necessary. All that is necessary is that the officer say, “I felt threatened.” Facts are of no import, actual perceptions are of no relevance. The only important thing is the formula statement, “I felt threatened.” That absolutely excuses a policeman for killing any one or number number of adults, dogs, infants or whoever else he chooses to kill. As the population comes to understand this more and more, it will become increasingly dangerous for a policeman to have any interactions at all with citizens, dangerous for the citizens, of course, but also dangerous for the cop as citizens come to understand that if a cop cuts his eyes at someone that someone stands a good chance of being shot out of hand, summarily executed as it were. Occasionally a person will simply draw his own weapon and shoot when a cop focuses his attention on him. That will escalate the police propensity to shoot which will intensify the fear and violent reaction of Joe Blow and Jane Blow. At some point the spiral will become pretty radical.
