I can explain it to ya if youd like.
No, I don't think you can.
I've lived too long to think that anything is irretrievable, irreparable or even very permanent.
This is not complex for those paying attention.
Just a few points..
Government has intentionally flooded our country with tens of millions illegally, and continues to do so. This is not to mention tens of hundreds of thousands of foreigners who cold care less about your culture, history or anything else. They too are being brought in by the millions...
For example, Bush allowed in more Muslim AFTER 911 than the previous two decades...On and on.
Government has made American citizenship all but pointless. In fact government is not only aiding and abetting this epic country killing immigration nightmare, they are providing them transportation and escorts now....
Hospitals like Dallas Parkland are illegal alien infant delivery factories, putting about about 1000 per month at just one hospital...Multiply this many hundreds of times per month at hospitals all over the U.S.
Your being incrementally replaced by a population of low wage workers, who are easily led, easily appeased, and seldom will question the government ruling class. Their happy with little government handouts and the basics...
Most Americans are now viewed by government as heavy luggage, a threat, those who use to much of “their” resources, a group of individual who must be controlled, taxed and regulated in every aspect of their lives. Total control....They’ve nearly destroyed the American middle class, along with the value of your dollar and on and on.
This goes on and on. Government has changed our history, our population and divided the once united. Those unable to see what is happening are just stupid. Government became the largest employer in the land, with now more unionized employees than the private sector...And on and on.
You’re not getting it back by any traditional means. Those days are gone. Too late.
Get it?
Maybe so, but retrieving the freedom and prosperity we once had will be tough. In an address that I attended last week, Pat Buchanan noted that half of all Americans don't pay federal taxes and half are dependent on the government. So a candidate who promises to cut taxes will cut no ice with those who don't pay any, while one who promises to cut government spending will be opposed by those who are on the take.
Well, of course you're absolutely right. The typical American wants to preserve his/her government benefits and wants to pay little or no taxes. So, politicians don't succeed by either cutting benefits or raising taxes. That's why we're where we're at.
It's hard to see an immediate change to that aspect of our lives. Right now, we have a growing glut of seniors who like senior benefits and also like low taxes. They are huge in number and growing at the rate of about 10,000 per day. And, they vote.
America will have a better chance to change this aspect of our lives when this huge glut of seniors is gone. Maybe younger people will be sick of government by that time. I probably won't be here to see that, but it's certainly possible.
So, there is hope for a change in course over time. None of it is too predictable, though. Only time will tell.
