The memories are as bright and vivid as ever.
It made a huge impression on me!

What a lovely thing to be observing from your window!
I love cardinal birds. Never saw one for the entire part of my life in New England, but since i moved south, i see them more frequently!
I have also seen hummingbirds and herons...both extremes! LOL
It is lovely..It’s a sliding door I look out to birdwatch...with untamed woods sloping down to a small ravine below enhancing my view. My house is small...perfect for me and perfect for a nature lover. The ravine curves around the cul de sac and is at the rear of houses across the street, too.
My grandsons kept looking out, watching the birds and commenting when they were here recently.
I don’t put out a Hummingbird feeder anymore since the raccoons broke three feeders...but I did have a rare glimpse of a hummingbird last week.
Happy Monday, all! My husband and I were watching a cardinal on one of our vegetable planters early this morning. Such beautiful birds.
and saw your lovely Cardinal picture. I love them too. Lazy day here, no hard work or exercising
going on here, lol. Just been doing a lot of reading and browsing
around the net. Hope you and everyone is having a good day. (HUGS) to all.
They are beautiful indeed...I enjoy several pairs in winter..During mating season and babybird raising season...one male “owns” my feeder and will not allow another male cardinal at it. All other birds are fine with him.
I’m so happy my cardinal inspired this adorable post, (((potlatch))). Love it!
No hard work or exercising going on here either.
;o)
Lol, I knew you’d get a kick out of it! I’m glad.
Beautiful pic, Meg. Such a treat and a blessing, to see the Cardinal family “spread their wings” ;)
Our little Cardinal family hasn’t been very active, lately. I need to check on them.
Last year was a treat - when they built their nest right next to my kitchen/breakfast room window.
Love your little Cardinal gifs/graphics, potlatch. Turned out so cute ;)
It looks great!
I remember your close up view of the cardinal nest last year...I would love to have a nest close like that.
When I see the papa feeding the young ones..they are graduated from a nest and able to fly. They are drab juveniles with only hints of color. They perch on a limb near the feeder.

So pretty. We’re getting warmer weather now, which should help our vegetables and herbs. I hope that it keeps up, while at the same time, that you get some relief from the heat in your area. ((((HUGS))))
I saw a whole flock of pure white ibises today, a Great blue heron, and a RAINBOW.
And, of course, our massive Muscovy Ducks, which strut around like they own the place! LOL!
Have a wonderful night!
((((HUGS))))
Thank you Jane!
Thanks Trish, it was an experiment, hehe!
Pretty post Amy. I think this weekend is the ‘tax free’ shopping for back to school in Texas. Since it includes clothing for teachers, a lot of women go shopping, lol. I’ve got more than I need now and going to the store would just ‘tempt’ me, lol.
Thanks, Potlatch.
Walmart and Target have school supplies really cheap right now. They have a list for each grade level and tell you where to find the item.
Marissa picked up a couple of tops at Walmart today; We plan to go to Penney’s next week. She wants a new pair of boots. She will buy her gym clothes at school next FRiday. She probably has enough pants to get started. I hope she will not need anything until we buy stuff for colder weather. Of course, she thinks she needs at least one of every style she sees. LOL
I haven’t bought anything for me forever.
You must be close to the water ML, the birds sound beautiful. I’ll have to look up the Muscovy Ducks.
