Why would they want to do that? They wont get a new stadium, and one of the reasons they left was because they didnt want to play in the Coliseum.
Because an NFL team in Los Angeles will instantly worth two or three times what the Rams are now. Likely upwards of two billion dollars. Not to mention the lucrative merchandising, and the local radio deal that he would control (and doesn't have to share with the rest of the league).
Their owner doesn't need a publicly-financed stadium. He already secretly bought a stadium-sized piece of land in LA, zoned and ready for construction. He can build it himself and make the money back many times over.

Did they actually show that on ESPN? Also, I see ESPN showed this:

That’s part of the video on the ESPN front page right now. Seems this at the end goes on forever.

So, what do you think the NFL is giving STL for picking this guy?

there is a thread dedicated to the death of the NFL aka the draft of a homosexual player.
lets keep that issue on the one thread to avoid dilution. (and attempts by trolls to create multiple threads to divide the conversation. ps. burn your rams tshirt and post picture)

Really have to wonder what the NFL promised the St. Louis Rams to draft this guy late in the 7th round. Or the effect a phonecall from the DOJ/IRS to the team owner had.

St. Louis is in Missouri, Sam went to Mizzou. That too, could have something to do with this. How? I don’t know. Giving the guy who went to the State college a break?

Shows where our culture is at. Still not as bad as the rapists and dog torturers that are welcome to the sport. I am sure he is not the first one nor the tenth one.
We are all sinners in a world that denies God and celebrates the violation of his word. There but for the grace of God got I.

I watched day one of the draft.
ESPN COVERAGE was basically “the first player taken in the draft IS NOT JOHNNEY MANZIEL”
“and the second player taken in the first round is not Johnney Manziel”
“and the third player taken in the first round is not Johnney Manziel”
“and the fourth player taken in the first round is not Johnney Manziel”
...
“and the fifteenth player taken in the first round is not Johnney Manziel”

When I read the title, my first reaction was: “They reinstituted the draft? How could I have missed it in the news?”
But then I remembered that I am an old man — my CIC once wore five stars and he deeply loved his country.

Doubtful. Rams management are desperately wanting to go to Los Angeles, and last summer the courts ruled that the Rams can break their lease and leave. And he went to College in Columbia, not STL.

And the NFL probably told the Rams they could sweeten the deal to go to LA if they took Sam and saved the league from embarrassment.

I said State college, not city college.
And the Rams are hardly in LA now. I heard the rumors too.
To: mojito
How weird. I watched a lot of the draft, and not once did I see a player kiss his girlfriend. Even in their attempt at ‘normalizing’ homosexuality, they still make it the exception.
