Jackets up 2-1 at 1st Int!
So, I’m sorry, Pittsburgh pulls out and wins Game I looks like.
I just found this map, what team each state and province are cheering for. I’m pretty sure this can’t be totally correct but some of it is.
Looks like some of it is colored arbitrarily too, I mean California has two playoff teams in there, Kings and Sharks.
Don’t correct me anyone, I guess California has actually 3 playoff teams playing, Ducks, Kings, Sharks. I’ve got a soft spot for the Sharks because they have had some very good teams and always seem to be in the playoffs and usually make it to at least the 2nd round if not farther.
Habs win,
Anaheim jumps way ahead in the 1st period vs. Dallas Stars, Ducks up 3-0.
Oh and for the map, I’m disappointed that at least Kansas should be St. Louis Blues territory but the Blues haven’t had a lot of playoff teams lately, not much success. That must be why. Easier to pull for the Blackhawks.
I guess they made the map per social media, face book or what have you.
Well not expecting the Jackets to win this series.
Live Thread though, I was at work, checked one score at break but didn’t know what went on later. Good to have live updates as the thread is so titled.
WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS
Montreal 5 Tampa Bay 4 (OT)
Pittsburgh 4 Columbus 3
Anaheim 4 Dallas 3
Rangers @ Flyers 7 PM
Chicago @ St. Louis 8 PM
Minnesota @ Colorado 9:30 PM
L. A. @ San Jose 10:30 PM
(all times Eastern)
Stars tried to comeback, just fell a little short.
Hopefully the momentum carries over into Game 2.
I have them winning in my bracket challenge.
Rangers - Flyers split their series...winning at home...will be an interesting one, but the Rangers are in a much better position than the Flyers...depth into the 3rd and 4th lines that the Flyers don’t have.
Lost Mason and have Emery in as the backup goalie, he’s done pretty well against the Rangers, hope he can this series.
However, the Bruins loom LARGE...don’t know if either team getting out of this series gets past Boston.
GO HABS GO!!!!
I figure Detroit can give Boston a good run for their money.
I hope so any how.
True...this is why “they play the games”...anything can and does happen...
Thanks I ended up getting sick last night & unfortunately missed most of the game ‘looks like it was a real barn-burner. On to Game 2 !
More caps* to come as the spirit moves ;)
SNAP, CRACKNELL, POP! Blues Forward Adam C. opens the scoring in their First Round game hosting the Chicago Blackhawks,
but a shaky Ryan Miller lets in three of the next four as the Hawks lead at the first Intermission, 3-2.
And with what? About 2 minutes left in the 3rd period, Blues knot it up, 3-3.
Avs tie it with 13 seconds left, 4-4....Going to OT.
