Thank you.. I know.. :)
I too agree with post 5.
Everybody swings naturally to the left, because there isn’t anybody who doesn’t dream of having their obligations and recreations paid for by somebody else if they could get away with it.
Swinging to the right does not come naturally, but it’s the most necessary point of view, if you really want everybody to make prosper.
Thanks
Cold water on loony wishful thinking anecdotal crap espoused by too many here
Its an old battle isn’t it?
Stupid Freepers who think because they are Catholic they will be natural conservatives
Blissfully unaware of the historical flaw in that logic a mile wide
Great solution.. We should try that.. Thanks for your contribution.. Come on.. LOL
Thank You
This is based on a faulty premise: there is no [functional] difference between the Republican and Democrat parties.
How Mass (Legal) Immigration Dooms a Conservative Republican Party
These folks, and I know many of them in my personal relationships and as employees, are very close to our values by nature, and a lot closer than we are lead to believe..
They can be persuaded with the right messengers and message..
What proportion of illegals vote, do you suppose?
With "Motor Voter" and many states granting driver's licenses to illegals plus, in some states, same day registration, just how many millions of illegals vote?
And, while I'll agree with your observation on the Texas border counties, legal Hispanics in those counties are more likely to vote Republican than the illegals -- who will vote Democrat virtually unanimously.
Indeed, Corpus Christi now has a Republican Congressman. And some of the other South Texas districts are increasingly competitive. Further, legal Hispanics in Central and North Texas are even more likely to vote Republican.
Finally, it's not really a question of gaining majority support from Hispanic voters for Republicans. Currently, the GOP gets about 30% of the Hispanic vote nationally (which includes a few millions of illegal Hispanics). If we could build that number to just 40%, the Democrats would be hard-pressed to win another national election.
I would submit that 40% is eminently doable -- especially if we can get voter fraud under control.
The only fix for illegals is to force them back across the border where they belong. Simply make it a criminal offense to knowingly hire an illegal alien worker. Give an amnesty period where all illegals have one year to leave the country on their own. If you leave on your own there will be no penalty and can apply for any future legal status. If you are caught in the country after the one year amnesty period you are documented with DNA, deported and can NEVER legally enter the United States again.
The illegals would self deport with these simple changes.
Just because they voted doesn't necessarily mean they were "legal". Not with Motor Voter, states anxious to grant driver's licenses to illegals and same day registration.
How many millions of illegals do you suppose voted in that election?
For sure, the illegal voters were virtually unanimous Democrat. The truly "legal" Hispanics would've been more evenly split.
Maybe the GOP will never gain a majority of the Hispanic vote. But what if we got just 40%? And what if we could get the vote fraud under control?
Then what?
I think they’re just people and will react to same political influences as the rest of us. The “Hispanic” monolith is a BS construct of the Left to try and create an easily manipulated ethnic voting bloc (similar to what they have done to blacks) even though there is no such thing as a “Hispanic” ethnicity. They come from many ethnic backgrounds and nations, only sharing Spanish or a Spanish speaking heritage. The “Hispanics” we do have to worry about are the hordes of illegal aliens and those who wish to use them as a power base; they are absolutely born Democrats, no matter what color or national origin.
Census Bureau--A More Diverse Nation
"The non-Hispanic white population is projected to peak in 2024, at 199.6 million, up from 197.8 million in 2012. Unlike other race or ethnic groups, however, its population is projected to slowly decrease, falling by nearly 20.6 million from 2024 to 2060.
Meanwhile, the Hispanic population would more than double, from 53.3 million in 2012 to 128.8 million in 2060. Consequently, by the end of the period, nearly one in three U.S. residents would be Hispanic, up from about one in six today.
The black population is expected to increase from 41.2 million to 61.8 million over the same period. Its share of the total population would rise slightly, from 13.1 percent in 2012 to 14.7 percent in 2060.
The Asian population is projected to more than double, from 15.9 million in 2012 to 34.4 million in 2060, with its share of nation's total population climbing from 5.1 percent to 8.2 percent in the same period.
The U.S. is projected to become a majority-minority nation for the first time in 2043. While the non-Hispanic white population will remain the largest single group, no group will make up a majority.
All in all, minorities, now 37 percent of the U.S. population, are projected to comprise 57 percent of the population in 2060. (Minorities consist of all but the single-race, non-Hispanic white population.) The total minority population would more than double, from 116.2 million to 241.3 million over the period.
40% is still a loser. Demography is destiny.
So you’re saying just let them all in legally and that way they’ll be happy with us and they won’t have to break the law?
THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY!
A change in 15% of their voting pattern would win in most elections.. That is reachable..
That just isn't the case, it it was, then their countries wouldn't all be as they are.
Latin America wouldn't account for a 30% of the world's murders and be hell holes.
I have no argument with anything you said.. period.. LOL
