Tragic.
After watching the video, she did this to herself. She could have/would have killed any NUMBER of bystanders or cops given the chance.
She was Wackadoo!
If we were to begin killing people for making poor decisions have the people on FR would be in mortal danger. Cops, at all levels, have lost their minds.
Half, of course. Need coffee.
She panicked because the Gestapo had decided to point their guns at her. She did stop, but if you look when they ran up to her car pointing guns at her she panicked and tried to drive away. Obviously there is no way in hell should could have gotten away so it tells me she panicked. Hope and change did not work out for her.
Rule One when cops point guns at you: Stop! Or, be prepared to accept the consequences. Throwing crazy into the mix makes it worse.
All she had to do was stop and she’d still be alive.
Sorry to all you FR cop haters, but that is the way it is.
Just my speculation here, but it would not surprise me if Miriam Carey were Barack Obama’s girlfriend and the baby boy his boy.
Yes we must obey our betters. Know your place, slave!
Yes but she panicked. Obviously she should have stopped, there is no way in hell she could have gotten away, but some people who have never been in that situation before, they lose control and go into flight mode out of panic. Too bad for her.
Oh, so if you don’t do what the people with badges tell you to do then you deserve to die? Is that right?
By the way, maybe you’re oblivious to this but your post did very little to aid your apparent cause of defeating the arguments of so-called ‘cop haters’. Your own post makes clear that armed police are dangerous and unpredictable and can inflict lethal harm on anyone who doesn’t instantly submit to their will.
While this is abundantly true in places where statists rule it is most certainly NOT true in places like Wyoming where we expect our cops to act within the actual laws and to not just kill people because they don’t instantly obey people with badges.
Thinking about it, if things are really so bad with cops as you would have us think then why don’t YOU hate cops? Hmmm?
Shot in the back of the head. She was obviously driving away from the police, not at them. What threat was she to them then?
The press and liberals made a big stink over the soldiers who worked roadblocks in Iraq, for shooting at vehicles that refused to stop. A women with a child in the car gets shot in the back of the head as she’s leaving the area, and the same people are silent.
Plus no doubt she’s an Obama voter, so logic is not one of her strong points.

Leaving Fort Leavenworth, KS one weekend, my OCS buddies and I were pulled over by 15-20 KCMO police cars. We had about 4 guns in each of our faces. It was surreal, and was just like the final scene in "The Blues Brothers"....anyways, we froze and didnt panic. We heard someone shouting, "Thats not it, wrong car! It has Missouri plates!".....we got a prompt apology and they were persuing a bank robber that had shot a clerk and killed a woman standing in line driving the exact same car as we were. In addition, we were all white/asian, perps were black.
Anyways, moral of the story: We had guns pointed at us, were searched, we did as we were told, and we did NOT get shot.
This lady cost her her own life. Had I gone all crazy like she did, me and my battle buddies probably would have been killed.
I don’t hate cops. Wasn’t she already stopped when they unloaded on her? She didn’t seem like much of a threat at that point.
I was right.
The capital police were so afraid that someone had it in for the big guy that they assumed this woman who made a wrong turn and panicked was attacking.
This is a case of murder that will never be prosecuted.
Maybe she panicked and drove off because she was trying to protect her child in the back seat. The fact that they opened fire without knowing whether there was anyone else in the car with her was wrong. She was shot several times, so it's a miracle that the child was uninjured. We were always taught that if we had to fire our weapons, to make damn sure we knew where that bullet would end up. You didn't want to hit any innocent bystanders.
