I don’t believe the Moslem thing. Too few things fit. It’s just not their MO.
I wouldn’t be shocked, but I would be surprised to find it was Moslem terrorism.
I think it’s purely some accident.
OTOH, is this anywhere near the Bermuda Triangle of Asia?
Actually perhaps it’s possible it landed in any jungle regions there might be. If the range was possible by all evidence.
Other accidents have happened in remote forested areas and no one was really aware or could find them right away, except that the plane disappeared off radar.
“Brazilian authorities were able to locate the first major wreckage within five days of the accident”
Yes, I had my doubts about this being impossible not to find anything. Of course, I’m quite sure being in a mere sea close to land is not the same as open ocean, but I don’t think it’s unusual they’re having a hard time finding it in the water. Or even if it crashed into a jungle.
What happens with the luggage at the airport when passengers decide at the last minute that they are
not going? I would image it would be a crazy time
and people aren’t paying attention to what other
workers are doing. Maybe someone slipped in there
and stayed for the ride...
Transponders can be shut off by pilots (happened with 9/11 planes)and enroute radar can only go 200 miles so when a plane is over water, it will not be tracked by ground based enroute RADAR, the track that is on sites like flightaware is a projection of it’s last postion and it’s flight plan.
Only AWACS could track planes over water or a RADAR on a ship could but I doubt either were in service at the time.
If this flight was outside the 200 mile limit or went below the RADAR then it could very well be diverted somewhere else.
Nope. Even a little bit of sea is a big place. I'd say give 'em a few more days before we call this one an unsolved mystery.
With proximity to land, it is more likely to wash up near land where locals can even spot it. Out in open true ocean, nada.
I’m still wondering about jungle, if there is that type of wild land anywhere near.
Airport 77
Its underwater and they are running out of air....
