that's my question!!! how is this against the law? i.d. is not even required to vote...
Yesterday on one of the local talk shows, the female substitute - Debra Cole - closed the hour with saying, “Those two cops need to be ticketed for being FAT”. I had to LOL on that comment.
She refused to give her name to the police --
She should move to Houston. If they gave out tickets for jaywalking here, they’d have no problem renovating the Astrodome.
You have to give your name to the police?
I know it’s wrong to give a false name but to give no name at all is illegal?
Now, driving is different but walking?
I thought you don’t have to tell the police anything.
Is that an Austin law or a Texas law?
If you speak Spanish does the law change?
Sadly, Austin ain’t really part of Texas anymore.
If you’re arrested or subject to arrest, then you have to identify yourself.
Failure to identify yourself becomes an additional offense.
If you don’t identify yourself at the Book In, then you cannot Book Out and then stay locked up.
If you want to book out then you will eventually identify yourself and then you have to face two charges not just one.
This bimbette would not have been arrested if she had just given her name, and she may not have even received a citation either since only 7 or the 28 stopped received citations.

Good advice.
i.d. is not even required to vote...

Don’t know where you reside but Photo ID is required to vote in Texas.
Her problem wasn’t an ID but failure to give her name to the police until
after she was placed into the patrol car.
How about he gets fired for demonstrating that he is incapable of handling the responsibility that his position carries with it?
Uncle Chip has been all over this issue, across multiple threads, calling this lady a crying bimbette.
Like I said before Chip, I hope the police come to YOUR neighborhood to harass people out on their daily walks.
Why don’t you call her for a date — you two deserve each other.
I have to wonder if Acevedo and Rosemary were out hitting the vodka prior to this interview.
I’m sure that would be grounds if it could prove it.
He thinks he’s a four star general, evidently.
Upon further questioning, Chief Acevedo admitted that the local hospital didn’t have any colonoscopy time available, as actual patients were trying up the equipment...
