For the uninitiated:
A tenant owed back rent (for a station). The owner came to collect. The tenant decided they wanted to try to change the lock on the apartment (a space-based sovereignty unit), and the owner decided to come in and try to forcibly change the lock themselves.
The owner brought his buddies, the tenant brought his, a war broke out.
My thoughts exactly, except with tape holding the glasses together.
I miss good old Quake1 capture the flag. 8 red guys vs 8 blue guys,a grappling hook that you could also use to hook into an opponent, rocket launchers, nail guns, knocking guys into lava, low ping bastards, those were the good old days.
Jedi Outcast. Force-choke someone. Force-push them off into the lava. Much fun.
EVE is a whole ‘nuther aphorism though...
I just can't bring myself to be looking over my shoulder every 5 seconds.
I remember one I used to play back in the BBS days.. think it was called Trade wars, or something like that.. ANSII maps and all ;)
DooM, Redneck Rampage.. serial connection.. good to go ;-)
(Piles even more stuff in Arcades inventory for complaining)
http://www.tradewarsrising.com/ is the current generation of the game. Hated logging on and finding myself in a POD and going back to my sector finding all my Level 6 Transwarp planets gone. Loved playing Evil
Wow! Bookmarked to check up on that one :)
Curious about the 2002 TM though, I was playing it back in the early-mid ‘90s (?!).. (only ansii though..), same game?
Trade Wars was ported off BBS platforms to TWGS which runs on windows platforms. http://www.oregonsouth.com/ice9/ has games you can play. Just select Telnet and your transported back to the 1990’s

imagine a shi in a video game being worth $5500 real dollars. crazy
Yea it does seem nuts. But then, anything has a dollar value if people are willing to exchange money over it.
In a way, it it any different from a time share? Seems like a crazy statement until you think about it.
Well I played everything 0.0 wormhole Carebear manufacturer. My issue was that the fighting you did was not that exciting even in big battle. You knew right off how the battle was going to go and you did it anyway. It more was about espionage...
That is War Thunder!
