Personally I don't find anything funny about Will Ferrell. He tries waaaaaay too hard..and never succeeds.
Can’t figure out how Will Farrell, Adam Sandler, or Ben Stiller can earn even a dime in the entertainment industry. Farrell is just plain juvenile and vulgar. I knew funnier people than Adam Sandler in the 7th grade. And Ben Stiller . . . my god, enough of him already.
And I like slapstick humor. Airplane is one of the funniest movies ever. But Anchorman ain't.
Senses of humor vary form person to person, but Will like so many Hollywood types ventured into politics. Its a career killer. You can’t put your brain into the fantasy mode knowing you are paying your own money to be insulted.publically.
I enjoyed the first Anchorman. Will Ferrell was absolutely awful, but that was the point. Everyone back then thought that anchormen were gods. Their slips were just beginning to show. So, whether or not it was his intent, it really showed up the stupidity of the MSM and its anchormen.
Don’t know about the second movie. At this point, I don’t think too many people think that anchormen are gods. Not even the libs.
I have never thought Will Ferrell is funny.
I’ve seen nothing in the ads for this movie that would lead me to change my mind.
Will Ferrel sucks. He’s never been funny, just an idiot.
Those around you laughed because the last two elections proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that at least half of those surrounding us every day are total, complete, unreconstructable, critical thinking devoid DUMB ASSES!!!
The list of who I will not watch in a movie is long but it starts with Will Farrell, Jim Carrey, and Robin Williams.
I can think of VERY few good comedies. “Airplane” is my all-time favorite. I laughed from beginning to end. I liked their “Naked Gun” series, too. Other movies I’ve liked: “Life of Brian,” “Spinal Tap,” and... that’s all I can think of. The National Lampoon movies were MOR.
I like Will Ferrell, but I knew the movie sucked when it needed a three week ad blitz before it’s release.
Will Ferrell is perhaps the most no talent bum in Hollywood. The mere fact that he’s made so much money verifies what we’ve feared for so long, viz. that the majority of Americans are idiots.
From that, I took that this movie was made for his buddies, and not the general public.
My boyfriend is a huge Ferrell fan. He’s seen “Anchorman” I don’t know how many times and dragged me to see “Anchorman 2”. I’m with the author; I didn’t see the humor and spent the movie acting like I was enjoying it all the while checking my watch for how much longer it had to run. I got even by taking him to see “Saving Mr. Banks” where, to his credit, he also faked interest and acted like he enjoyed it.
Anybody who says they don't lack a sense of humor, does.
