gee...one would THINK that after the Boston Marathon......fiasco....that runners would ikely consider CARRYING..whilst they run.
Runner’s World?Never heard of it,just another homo infested commie rag-most likely.
I hope Nick Symmonds gets one of those friendly police anal probes.
I base all my political beliefs upon someone else’s 800m run time. I guess we should listen to Nick. /s
Oh, and don’t forget the criminals there, Nick. Hope you can outrun a bullet, dumbass, but you apparently can outrun common sense.
I was sitting in an Israeli restaurant next door to a “Runners’ Shoppe” and noticed this ABSURD sign in the window:
“November is NATIONAL RUNNERS SAFETY MONTH”
I could barely contain my mirth. The Israeli Waitress and i had a good chuckle when I remarked :
“Is this an initiative to issue all solo runners a CCW?
Or is it a reminder to remember to make sure your shoe laces are tied?”
national runners safety month! Can you believe it?
It is difficult to imagine a better running magazine cover photo, than one of Texas Governor and Presidential candidate Rick Perry, in his jogging shorts with his jogging pistol, after he used it on a morning run, but I bet they never even considered it.
“I’ll give you my gun when you pry it from my cold, dead hands.”
what a great opportunity to shoot off my mouth but i goota run
Another idiot who knows absolutely nothing about firearms.
He needs to stick to running. Perhaps he can “run away” from trouble instead.
I gave up on cardio a couple of years ago and embraced weight training instead. I’m quite satisfied with the change. I do still take an occasional long walk, and I’m very happy to now be able to conceal my weapon in case of a threat from man or beast.
I am not familiar with Runner’s World magazine.
But, it sounds like a magazine for running or jogging enthusiasts.
Why would a publication which specializes in a certain activity, publish a liberal political viewpoint on a completely unrelated issue???? Help me out here. What am I missing???
After all, in the running community, isn’t it likely that there are many 2nd amendment enthusiasts, or those who are conservative in their social/political beliefs???? Isn’t it presumptuous for their editors to assume that a liberal message will be welcomed by their readers???
And what does a hot social/political issue have to do with running anyway?????
The November 5th issue of Runner's World carries a column by athlete Nick Symmonds calling for a handgun ban for everyone except police and military personnel.Hey, Nick - There's no need to fantasize about how wonderful that world would be if your wish were to come true. You can watch a movie about that very situation - It's called Schindler's List. I highly recommend that you see it.
Well, I want to subscribe now so I can call them up and cancel.
Do they think they can run faster than a criminals bullet?
SCHINDLER’S LIST - a true life movie that called for a handgun ban for everyone except police and military personnel.
Go run in heavy traffic Nick.
Historically speaking, one must conclude that this planet would be a much safer place if governments were never allowed to possess any weapons at all.
That's okay Nick, you don't fit in here. It's better that you're in Oregon with your Leftist; homosexual ilk.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
I was a runner before this magazine. I’ll be a runner after it folds up. Was a subscriber for a few seasons in the ‘70’s, but it was generally pablum.
It is going to vanish pretty soon. We need not worry about its opinion on anything.
