Are you kidding, that skirt is above the knee! It’s scandalous!
//sarcasm
Those were go-go boots! Not knee-highs!
Welcome to the best website on the internet. :-)
‘dealio’?? Really?
As a fellow 50 something woman, I have never ever ever used that word!
And Hastings did not get killed over a blog, but surely you knew that.
Welcome Leslie to Free Republic. Can’t wait for your posts and opinions. Just one thing though. There will be posts that makes you think there is a Full Moon.
It’s easy to become cynical in a broken world. A world where truth, justice and honesty reigned even at some small point and to see it crumble bit by bit and in one fell swoop by life and what it brings to us.
Thanks for your welcome and as cynical as it is ,not me but everyone should read your post and think about what you really want to “bring home” with you leaving the rest behind.
I do sense a great a amount of cynicism from your post but certainly don’t hold it against you and hope that someday you are able to shed this attitude if it becomes too burdensome for you. Self awarenness is one of the keys to a long life.
i’d love to whisper in your ear .............but I can’t!!! I love your heart
This could be hugh, and series!!
that’s funny i do remember go-go boots but never had a pair - just looked like knee highs to me. (of course, being catholic you know,
STOP! you’ll ruin our fantasy!
A warm welcome to you.
Sure you can! whisper...
I love your heart
Awwwwwwww! *blush*
Huh? I just converted 8 years ago. Being Catholic has nothing to do with it. I’m a boomer!
I also want to tell you imho Johnny Depp was awesome in that filim , there was a certain sense of darkness which brought levity to the winner of the “Golden Ticket”. Depp is ok in my book. I recall Wilder in other moments on filim but esp. his wife Gilda Radner (obm) she was a gem;a true comedic jewel.
When I was growing up there was no television except on odd occasions but I’d always sneak down to the basement & turn on SNL waaaaaaaaay waaaaaaaay down low so I could watch it on Saturday night. My mother would stand at the stairs and say, “Are you watching that show again”??
Thanks for welcoming me to FR
