I agree with you.
I think the scene was there just to kick old Walt back into Heisenberg mode one last time.
yep...although perhaps not just for revenge (against jack & co), but also for redemption somehow. His son had just told him to FOAD, and his old business partner saying the sweet old walter white is dead. Perhaps it’s also an “I can show them I’m still a good person” trip.
he’s going back for both empires. he lost’the first’one he built, now they say he didn’t do anything?!?
now the second one is taken away and he lost that and his family in the process.
he’s gonna go after both sets of people. gretchen/elliot quietly w/ the ricin, using his chemical expertise. jack and co with the brute power machine gun.
and hank’s bravado ultimately gets him killed. no backup arresting a guy he knows is a monster. part of him had to bring him in solo, HE had to be the one who nailed heisenberg. it goes beyond concern the office may have had issues b/c it’s his brother in law.
jesse has blame as he got her hooked again.
jane has blame b/c she gave herself the drug amount that made her choke to death. and also for deciding to take drugs again.
either one of those things didn’t happen, walt has no decision to make.
youtube also has a ‘joking bad’ parody that is done pretty well. has cameos from bryan and aaron and bob odenkirk too.
no redemption. all revenge. he’s waaaaaaaaay past redemption, he knows it.
revenge and getting what’s his somehow to his family even though his son haes him right now. it’s all he has left, all he can do.

Thanks for that info. I’m so glad Saul is getting his own show-———a terrific character portrayed beautifully
by Bob O.

i am really not a big jimmy fallon guy at all, they did a pretty good job at this.
i won’t even put any spoilers out. was going to mention one but i think it’s better when you see it (not coming).
Thanks,S.A.M. for that info.
The video broke me up,especially the surprise ending.
Very clever.

On his way to retrieve the ricin, maybe Walt stops at a very big national law firm, pays a very large cash retainer, and executes a last will and testament. The patent(s), and any associated intellectual property in Gray Matter, are noted in the will as legitimate assets of his pending estate (Walt is dying no matter what). The beneficiaries of the estate are to be his family, whether they like it or not. A man provides for his family, as Gus said.
So Walt redeems his name, showing that his “life’s work” was not really the drugs but applied science. Gray Matter eventually settles for 1 billion dollars because Walt likely had more inchoate financial interest than that in the company, and the Schwartzes want to distance themselves from the W.W. affair. Thus, in the end, crime does not pay, Walter suffers the penalties of his tragic hubris, and the law prevails because it is righteous.

Please put me on ping list. Thanks.
who’s here for the finale?
So, not quite; but, did you like the ending? I thought it was kind of perfect and that Walt atoned to as many people as he could have.
As I said to my friends when it ended, “They stuck the landing.” I thought it was about as good as it could be within the confines of a one-hour show.
It certainly wasn’t a disappointment, like so many of the series “finales” have been in the past (hello, Lost). I didn’t feel cheated. I like your use of the term “stuck the landing”; sums it up nicely.
I have been thinking lately that the "blue" meth is rather like the "Ring of Power" (my precious). It makes you a bit insane. You have to have it, it will bring you great wealth or power or whatever. Instead, it destroys you.
I was pleasantly surprised by the finale, and thought it was very well done...not to mention just downright sad.
And my hat’s off to you for calling the Ricin\Lydia plan!
