Oh, no. Another another “I refuse to be agenda-ized” post. From someone who is trying to agenda-ize every one else.
Oh yeah I know, I was like *what* is that all about? So now we go from gay couples to mixed gay couples with all daughters and of course the rednecks have to bash them...Heeeere we go. I expect sometime in the future we will see a gay midget black Jewish threesome who are crippled Satan worshipers and have siamese twins as kids. The patronizing never ever stops.
You still watch ads, I haven’t watched an add since the cable company made DVR’s available. I thought once that with the advent of the DVR advertisers should just put up a image of there logo for the 30 second ad and leave it at that.
It was called Blackout! Interesting premise poorly executed!
The only SK book I read was The Dead Zone. I couldn’t put it down until I was done with it....The TV series not too good, didn’t watch it... When I saw him for the first time on TV I thought...no wonder he writes the books he does, he is one strange looking dude...
same here

DEFIANCE-a church thats a brothel?
could it get more offensive?
I read the book and really enjoyed it, but the series is deviating so far away from it, it’s almost a different entity.
To add to your points, the book’s Big Jim was more of a Boss Hogg, “good golly” type, and a lot nastier. The actor playing Junior is just bad...his acting is cringeworthy. And I guess he isn’t going to be a murderer with a brain tumor, but instead just a bug-eyed lovesick weirdo.
I’m surprised King didn’t fight to have the female atheist pastor in the series. That’s the only kind of clergy he has any use for.
I wonder why sound doesn’t travel through the Dome, like it does in the book.
I read an article that said UTD’s showrunner loves The Walking Dead and hopes to bring some of the same excitement to this series. Not likely, LOL. I’ll stick with this one to see what they do with the ending (it’s supposed to be different from the book, as well), but it isn’t holding my interest at all. I think it’s poorly done.
Robert R. McCammon, Swan Song.
I said to my wife when watching, “why can’t the city under the dome be Washington, D.C.?”
Now I do like Falling Skies. But the way people think these days is crazy....it's all upside down. I was reading on a Falling Skies discussion forum, and the majority of the posters there hate the Masons because they're very much about family. Pope is by far the favorite, and they think he should be put in charge (LOL). But the most despised character is Lourdes....because she reads the Bible.
The book seems to bear little resemblance to the show.
I read one of his books... Can’t remember which. It was OK.
It looked like red styrofoam——no organs at all!
I like a lot of King’s work, but Dreamcatcher was absolutely horrible.
It’s an incredibly schlocky and poorly-acted show. The highlight for me so far was when the corrupt preacher clumsily—and totally implausibly—set Duke’s house on fire. And the pathetic in-your-face moralizing about the lesbian parents couldn’t be more propagandistic.
I was actually disappointed in the book’s ending. Knowing Lefty King, he will make it the military’s fault.
I don’t have cable, never have. There are shows without homos. But I don’t need much tv for entertainment. I can use Roku etc.
