I love the old bat. It was only when I was her caregiver that she became my “problem child,” and I don’t think it was deliberate.

Up until then, she was always good to me, and treated me with respect. I believe her “sudden” dependence on oxygen, and the fact that she was no longer at sea level and needed help with everyday things (preparing her meals, showering, etc.) caused her to lash out. I was handy.

I vented here, because it was easier than trying to tell her son, or arguing with her, which I would never do, anyway.

What I know at present: she fell at home after drinking (she usually starts around 0900) and may have only dislocated her hip/pelvis. No further update since last night.

She does love that “nippy bottle!” It’s probably the only fun she has left at her age and ability. I won’t take it from her.

:o])

It wasn’t me! I don’t even have any Adult Beverage to water it down with so it’s useless to me! LOL!

I’m about out of adult beverage, myself. It’s a sad situation.

We’re heading out to the Post Office and library, also dropping Epic Fail at a lawn service job. He should invest in his own truck! I want to go to The Salvation Army, but I don’t want to take everyone. Maybe Elen can drive me there later.

Update: The hip, not the pelvis is fractured. That’s usually not a good sign for the elderly, especially if they have other health problems. They seem to lose their will to live after that.

I’m hoping she is feisty enough to survive this. Her youngest granddaughter is getting married in September, and her own birthday is a week later, in October, so I’m hoping that will give her a goal to strive for.

That is a good thing for Elen...driving her Mum to Salvation Army store!

I want to hit Savers, again, but will have to wait a while. Probably another month, by the time SSA gets done messing with my funds.

I’m hoping to have the Late Igor’s history done so I can send it to my son for Father’s Day. It was supposed to be for his birthday, which is Sunday, but it will obviously be late. It depends on my stamina at this thing.

The original goal was to take it to Kinko’s or OfficeMax and have it printed and bound and have several copies made, but I will have to check on the prices for that. It may be that I can’t do it until around Christmas.

Thanks! I’ve been doing that since I heard, but I believe prayer can do marvelous things, so the more prayers, the faster the healing!

If I don’t have the energy for TSA, Elen can drive me to Jamie’s tomorrow for a haircut.

Elen is probably quite happy with her new-found “freedom” to go places. I didn’t get my driver license until I was 21. Hubby didn’t think it was necessary until he needed help driving.
