Bob’s not older ... he starts over periodically.
Do you know anyone that might want to take care of a dog for a week?
Your vet, for pay. Or our vet, maybe.
Adriana is going to be taking care of the cats and all; she graduated from vet school in Colombia. We can ask if they could give Piper the care she needs. How does she feel about other dogs?
She likes other dogs. She doesnt care for the vet. She likes having furniture to sleep on.
How long are you planning to be here, counting the time at the beach?
Our vet wouldn’t have furniture to sleep on, either. I’ll call Adriana and see what she thinks. It’s kind of short notice!
Also she doesn’t like men expect for one of my friends. He was going to take her for the week but then he got some kind of little exotic weasel pet and Piper thinks that small furry or feathered animals (that aren’t dogs or cats) are good for chasing.
I’ll be down on Thursday afternoon sometime most likely and leave again the next Sunday.
My Chief might still be able to take her but I don’t know if his wife allowed it or not yet.
Each reinvention adds a new dimension. Rather like a coat of textured paint over enamel over matte...and the colors are better, too! ;o]
I don’t know any single women who want to keep a husky for a week. (I may not know any single women at all.) But guys often aren’t home during the day.
How long can she be left unsupervised? Do you have a crate? Your dad gave Ash’s away.
I left a message with Adriana. I can call Debbie, too: they have a cat, but it seems mainly to inhabit an upstairs bedroom. It’s always in the window.
She doesn’t have a crate. As long as she has a bone and a couch to lie on she is happy to just hang around all day and do nothing. She’s fairly low maintenance.
She gets used to men being around but she isn’t a huge fan of them. She still doesn’t really care for my roommate’s husband and we’ve lived with him for a year now.
So in a pinch, she could lie around here all day, and Adriana et al could take her for walks morning and evening?
That could work. I would say she might even stay in the backyard in the daytime, but she might also decide to dig a hole and leave. Sometimes she gets ideas like that.
Also the weather is warmer there than it is here and it might be a little hot for her.
Dig a hole is bad. We’ll close up and put the ac on at a reasonable temperature.
Adriana says they could handle a dog, too, if it comes to that. She’ll be over Friday morning to get the whole drill for all the animals. I need to remind Sally to find out if little Maggie up the street wants to keep the gerbils again.
Okay.
The only directions for Piper are “feed and take for walks and scratch ears.”
Also she needs to be brushed every few days or so but that’s about it.
I started out as a square. I felt very much at home in Kansas.
If you’re arriving Thursday, you can be here Friday to give instructions and make introductions. I’m sure they can brush! And it’s all women/girls.
Oklahoma is even squarer.
I should be. I’m supposed to have a make up day because today is Memorial Day which is apparently a holiday for other people, and I’m suggesting that I do that Thursday because it would be convenient for everyone.
Tomorrow I’ll mention it several more times. I’m sure they’ve forgotten about it over the last few hours. The perks of working with nothing but men...
Why should anyone be surprised by that? Pray, tell?
