Beware the owrd! He’ll pull your head off, and then the owrk will gnaw your bones.
I had to make half a dozen corrections in that line, and I’m not even drinking an adult beverage. Maybe it’s the glare on the screen.

I can’t drive when I’m crying. It’s too difficult to see through the tears. Good thing that doesn’t happen frequently. (Last time it happened, we had lost our poor little dog, Buster.) Life and death are the only things worth being concerned about. Please extend my sympathy and encouragement to Elen.

Fortunately, Elen wasn’t driving, and I was philosophical about it all. Nothing to be gained by fussing.
My mom isn’t arriving until after noon tomorrow, so we’ll have time to visit the DMV again, if she feels up to it.

I have days like that, and my first impulse is to just run with it. But then, I think, “No one will understand a single word I’ve written!” and go back to find the typsos.

Beware the owrd! Hell pull your head off, and then the owrk will gnaw your bones. Strangely, "owrd" brings to mind something that could be capable of slicing your head off, and "owrk" does sound like something that could gnaw your bones....

I’ll give you my Washington plates then. I don’t want them and I’ve had them in the trunk of my old car for ages.

Thanks for the replies.
So a DC motor can generate electricity when powered by my push, but an AC could not?
“Aligned electrons. Um....Magic!”
Isn’t it though? Absolutely magic.

She didn’t want a hug, but I offerred her several variations on “No big deal,” and then let her go to bed to cry for a while.

"Thats the sounded deadening man eating fog, isnt it.
Flare guns and certain lights offer some protection.
Creating an updraft of warm air also sometimes works." I never have a problem with fog.
Well, almost never ...
The Fog
The fog came in so quietly, its purr was rather muted,
It seemed in such a playful mood. The sky was all transluted.
It shrouded al the buildings, and made their edges soft,
And silence filled up everything, until somebody coughed!
The mist absorbed the noise so made, as if so far away,
It could have been an echo from some sound another day.
The fog was curious, looking in, and checking every space,
And nose-to-nose, it rudely rose, and stared in every face!
Playfully, it glided round, and stalked its unseen prey.
And cotton-soft, it crept about, Nights Shadow into Day!
Then finally, a target found! As swiftly as could be,
It coalesced into a cloud, and gave a kiss to me!

"So a DC motor can generate electricity when powered by my push, but an AC could not?" That's about it. AC's problem is that it can't bootstrap its current. Without electricity, it's just spinning coils of wire, much like a bicycle wheel. It just spins.
However, a little battery power can be enough to get it started producing more power. That's how the alternator in a car works. It needs the automobile battery for proper functioning.
Another interesting experiment is the "magnetic mirror". Place a magnet over a superconducting metal, and the induced magnetic field as it approaches the superconducting surface is expressed in exactly the opposite direction. The magnet ends up floating in the air!
