Topics are fine unless they produce general annoyance and a sense of the Real World looming.
My family are all wrapped in blankets, grumbling.

You can get the seeds here. I wish I had room for the plants. *sigh*
Shhh boom...
Shhh boom...a ya-di-a ya-di-a shhh boom...life is but a dream...
I miss-spoke I was thinking of Hush-A-Boom...
This is making me sleepy.
You will miss your naps when I am there, so sleep quick!
LOL!
With Olivier. It was excellent.
Olivier was excellent in everything he did. And I, too, liked him in Hamlet.
(My daughter had a pair of pot-bellied pigs, once. Named them “Hamlet” and “Piggy Sue.”)
I watched a movie about St. Anthony of Padua yesterday. It was in Italian and had good Italian scenery.
It’s 39 and pouring rain here. I wish we could all stay in, but there’s a Venture meeting tonight.
Jeepers. Do I need to bring my umbrella? I was planning on short pants (pedal pushers/clam diggers, etc) but I may have to rethink that to bringing something warm.
Does Al Gooey know about this?
We’ll buy you an umbrella, if necessary.
It’s supposed to be in the 70s by Monday. You’ll have to pack at the last minute when we see the forecast.
Nah. I usually pack expecting a little of everything. Which is why I can't understand tourists who come to Vegas in January, wearing shorts, expecting 100 degree weather. What? They don't know how to check a weather forecast for the vacation area? Go figure.
PS: I have a Totes umbrella, so it will be in the carry-on, just-in-case!
;o]
A lot of people think desert means “always hot,” rather than “limited rainfall.” Ignorant tourists must be a windfall for local clothing stores!
We have plenty of extra coats, at least!
Thank you! Renee’s website is where I read the gardening information initially. Have you made her pumpkin cobbler? I had a pumpkin crunch made by a mom-and-pop NA store once. I’ve never had anything as good since. I really want to try some of her recipes.
I’m very sorry that you are stuck w/Bloomie. Prayers up!
Uh oh. We might have more challenges this year than last with respect to predators. I hope I don’t have to sleep out there under mosquito netting. Nothing is afraid of me, so it probably wouldn’t be very productive, with the exceptions of the “Off!” manufacturers who might benefit. If our neighbor’s peacocks figure out that we have a garden, we’re in definite trouble. OTOH, the spaghetti sauce we canned last year has “pop” according to Mr. Sg. Gotta take the good with the challenging lol!
Eek! Doesn’t sound good.
We always know folks from the Far North (Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, No Dak, etc.,) as we see them in 30 degree weather jogging in tanks and shorts. Those from the middle tier of states are less noticible, but those from the south and east are the ones who never bring anything but tanks and shorts. I think the Casino Shops were made with those folks in mind...
The “locals” dress in layers, no matter the season. The desert can be quirky.
And then of course, we have the folks that move here in the winter, thinking how mild the climate is, only to complain about the heat four months later. “It’s so HOT, here!”
Research, folks, reasearch!
