Independent my entire voting life, over 30 years.
The deal is that the filibuster goes back into effect if the Republicans take the Senate in 2014.
Anyone who thought that Mitch McConnell wouldn’t cave is seriously disconnected from reality.
Don’t know why the good folks of Kentucky continue to send this loser back to DC.

A question:
IS THERE REALLY ANY REASON TO REMAIN A REPUBLICAN?
Seriously, why should we remain Republicans?
Sun rises in the East-Republicans cave.
Doesn’t sound like Harry got much of anything.

Of course McConnell’s job was to give Harry much, much less than his crazy-liberal bloc wanted so they would be unhappy with Harry.
This sounds like it might do the job (pending further info).
A pro-reform aide I spoke to was agog. Right now, you have to negotiate with McConnell to get on a bill, he said. Tomorrow, if this passes, you still need to negotiate with McConnell to get on a bill. It changes nothing on how we move forward.
Most DC politicians are drunk with power because they face no immediate consequences for their actions and the media cartel uses their propaganda machine to praise the anti-Americanism coming out of DC. Culling those in DC through the election process can’t be relied on due to the level of fraud that taints the system. Obozo in the WH proves that fact. It’s obvious what’s left for we the people to do and the power elite fear it and are working over time to take that last bastion of freedom from our hands. With regards to the real purpose and intent of the Second Amendment, the old phrase; use it or lose it has never been more true than it is today.
Get a grip. Quit crying. I’m not sure I trust you anyway.
It’s just a few tweaks in the majority’s favor, adjustments the GOP will also take advantage of when they take back the senate. Boehner declared 2 months ago that anything that comes to the House as a result of senate rule changes would be DOA, so Reid didn’t have a whole lot of muscle in the first place.
The basic filibuster rule stands. It will be interesting to see what the Republicans got in return.
Um, not sure where you've been, but it hasn't meant anything in about 20 years, if not more...
Worthless bunch of quislings that the republicans are.
Who’s surprised? Not me! Maybe it would be better if emperor 0bama does crush the GOP, then we might get a conservative party!
