What's amazing is these morons who marry two and three times...Stoopid does not begin to describe these lumberheads...
It's the battered husband syndrome...
They keep being lied to, back stabbed, betrayed, robbed and kicked in the teeth, yet they keep coming back for more.
A sucker born every minute...So damn true...

Then in their 30s and 40s they decide they want a nice guy, but he must be 6+ feet tall with a six pack, show no sign of balding, and of course make 100K+ per year And play the part of dad to their, by then, angry, rebellious, completely messed-up teenage kids from some other baby daddy.
No thanks. I'd keep my sanity, peace and my money too.

Dumbest thing I ever did was get married.
Fortunately, I bailed when he stopped bathing routinely (he would put on a fresh shirt and a 3-piece suit and go into work days past soap and water)and started taking vacations with men.
I don't have to worry about STDs.
If I have car trouble, AAA WILL show up, unlike my ex.
I won't make the unpleasant discovery of my ex running up a huge debt--with nothing to show for it.
I can buy manual transmission cars, which I can drive and much prefer, and he could never quite learn how to handle.
If I found some (available) paragon of character, conservative political persuasion, with basic sense, who wasn't afraid of working hard and getting his hands dirty (is there anything sillier than an adult man reluctant to dig a hole to plant a tomato?)I might consider them...but the truth is, I haven't come across this kind of guy available or otherwise (I would never mess with another woman's man, but I can wonder why ANY woman would want some of these guys).
Being single ain't so bad. Being with the Wrong Person poisons every aspect of living. I was never so alone as the 10 years when I was married.

I deal with a lot of people. The men want to have sex.The women agrees and moves in thinking marriage.I ask the guy when are you getting married and they laugh even if they have children. The woman doesn’t know this and later he drops her.On the woman’s side some shop around for a man with a good job and move in with him.Have a few kids and move on to another man.She has checks coming in from these men as long as the child is in school.I had one girl who was suicidal. She repeated 11th grade 3 times because the mother would not help her.If the girl graduated the mom lost the check.

I can’t.
I suffered through her show every day for about three years as I worked until the local am station finally cancelled her.
I can’t take her, it’s just not possible. I’m glad I’m not her husband.
As for my homepage, I don’t really need one.
I am an ornery wolf who loves dogs and guns, and that is about all there is to know.

It isn’t that the female sex has changed, that causes the problem.
Social norms, cultural norms of the times don’t keep men and women apart, it is the laws, and the government interference which has changed, and which makes it so risky for men.
This is about law and government, not women as a sex.

“Others in the thread were discussing their desire to have a subservient wife”
The great red herring. Nobody here mentioned wanting a subservient wife. A few expressed a desire for a wife that wasn’t aggressive and cruel, whom they could fully trust, and who saw her greatest importance in creating a happy home.
But not a single man here expressed a deside to dominate a woman into subservience. Also, I have never, ever, heard a man express a desire to have a meek subservient wife. Any sane person would find that rather annoying.
I just hear men wanting to be shown the slightest bit of respect and admiration. And most men would totally treasure the woman who gives them that.

Did I mistakenly come to Al-Jazeera instead of Free Republic?
Cause I’m hearing alot of men sounding like Muslims.
My woman needs to stay home.
My woman needs to meet me at the door with a drink.
My woman needs to “know her place”. Nobdy said this yet, but I haven’t read ALL the comments yet.
My parents been married almost 50 years. Both of the worked, because their marriage was a PARTNERSHIP.
Before y’all start blaming “feminists” y’all need to take a damn look in the mirror, and realize that being a “man” ain’t about being a Master.

Had a gal like that and had to kick her to the curb.
Her past would make Paris Hilton blush, and she had a huge sense of entitlement.
You just don't marry a person like that.
All of the feminist types I know (including my mom) just about pooped bricks when I dumped her for not being "marriage material". They all considered it my duty to be "the nice, supportive (and supporting) guy in her life". Tough crap for them. Taught me the value of being a "nice guy". TO HELL WITH THAT.
