I thought we were in a warp and thus time was behaving in an Einsteinian manner... Bob addresses those issues. Just thinking about them makes my head feel funny. Or maybe it was the enchilada sauce.

A belated Happy Birthday to Marshall! Ill get it on time next year! That's what happened to me, too. I'm going to sleep earlier and sleeping longer. One night I didn't even make it to the 8PM prayer for our country. (Don't worry--I made up for it the next day. You can't let the important things slide....)

Am utilizing best guess technology and failure is a continuing prevalent puzzle. Because of your continuing preoccupation w/above, must share thoughts of my favorite philosopher: "If ya can control it, ya can control it, so why worry about it? If ya can't control it, ya can't control it, so why worry about it?" (Yogi Berra)

Is Truly related to Verily? You know, I never thought of that. It just could be. And, they could be they - you know, those people who are always saying quotable things.
This will take some pondering.

Don’t know about Verily but have it on good authority that he/she is related to Surely (pronounced “Shirley”).

Was about to sign off when I saw your link. Page content. resulted in uncontrollable cackling. Mr. Sg, currently working in another room, called out, “Are you on the Undead Thread?” Alas, the mystery is gone and I have become predictable. Anyway, SYL

So I need an opinion.
I am torn between a Mini Cooper S Hardtop and a VW Golf GTI. They cost about the same (23,000 for the Mini and 24,000 for the Golf.) The Golf has 200 hp and the Mini has 181. I am perfectly okay with either of these engines because honestly they are both way faster than I really need a car to be anyway.
What I’m wondering is if anyone has/knows someone who has these cars and what kind of repair costs they’re incurring. Motortrend says the Mini is cheaper to repair and holds up better, but a real life opinion would be good.
(Don’t worry, I’m not buying this now. I’m buying a new (new new not new to me) car next winter and I decided I’d shell out for something that I’d actually enjoy driving.)

So I need an opinion. Cheese is way too expensive to be wasting on children.
Why did you follow up your request for an opinion with that stuff about cars?

My ex-son-in-law had a train horn on his truck, and I almost wet my pants the first time he used it on an unsuspecting motorist!
I haven’t tried the horn out on Mr. Bill. I haven’t really had occasion to. Right now I’m concentrating on things to protect it from the desert sun. I may have to invest in a car cover, because the windows are so hugh.
Tomorrow, I will take it to the car wash and see how it runs when wet! LOL!
