Mochelle - she’ll be dancing in the streets singing, “Ho, ho, no more Twinkies”.
Beats me, but it sounds like they believe they won by forcing a liquidation while they, the essential workers, will just find another job in another unionized plant which will now know better than to ever reject a union demand.
Or something.
The union is blaming the CEO of Hostess saying before BK was awarded a 300 percent raise $750,000 to $2,550,000.
Only Coke I can stand to drink. I also like the Mexican Fanta, w/real sugar.
So, if a Mexican firm buys the recipes/brands, will they go back to using lard?
Oops, wrong thread. (Darn multi-tab browsers).
Might be wrong thread, but I’ll reply. I think the SEC is done with expansion for awhile. It’s Big 10’s turn now
I was tempted to grb a big hostess honey bun for $1.49 but then I saw a box of 6 no brand mini-honey buns for $1.99 and got that instead. Not nearly as fresh though.
What makes this so sick is that Hostess asked the Union/Workers to take a cut, and OFFERED them in return 25 percent of the Company, and the Union said “no”.
I do the same thing. I buy the off brand grumble a little bit and repeat and rinse the next month.
Yea the union really showed them who was the boss. They were not going to give in and have a small cut in pay.
MORONS!!!
I wanted to share. I wasn’t going to share the big one if I had gotten it. :)
There was also a few other Hostess products, a pie, donettes etc
Well, Barry knows a lot about being a “twink”
I am going to guess a couple of the bakers might be putting a revolver in their mouths Christmas morning.
The answer is yes. I have a dumb brain-washed grandson who is an enthusiastic union goon. He's been out of work for nearly two years, but of all the bills he's got, paying his union dues is his #1 priority. I know he hopes Grandma will give him some money, but he'll only waste it on union dues, so no can do. He's passed up a couple non-union jobs, because they don't pay as well, taking a non-union job would get him in trouble with the union, etc., etc. I've tried to explain that the non-union pay would be more than his union job if he figured in all the big bucks his union dues cost.
The union has NEVER gotten him a good job, just short term jobs or crummy jobs. The "good" jobs go to a select group whose dads or older family members seem to have inside ties. The younger union members just get leftovers, and there are very few of those. He'll have to work for years to make up for the lost wages waiting for that "good union job" has cost him.
The bakers union leader makes $210,000 in pay and a lot of benefts to boot. I am pretty amazed that unemployed people would feel the need to keep giving those 1%ers their money
“Some 380 jobs here in Michigan that will be lost as well.”
To all you union clowns who voted democrat — I don’t feel a damn bit sorry for you. From now on, I say if you voted to hurt the country and took a “gimmee, gimmee” attitude to vote for the naked little Kenyan SOB - then you get everything you deserve. Which is to live homeless under a bridge somewhere.
Enjoy your poverty. You took a dump on your own nest.
The jobs lost in Michigan appear to be mostly retail jobs and are unlikely to be union.
“loosing” WTF?
Some restaurants have it too—I was at a Mexican rest. in Salem MA, the Howling Wolf and asked for one. I think it was $2.50 (maybe $2.25) for a 12 oz bottle....then I asked them for ice and a glass because I wasn’t about to order it then get a lukewarm bottle (which it was).
Another journalism degree well-bought.
