Evangelical children labor over Biblical chrestomathy.

This little chrestomathy from DUNE
is relevant today, is it not?.
"Laws to suppress tend to strengthen what they would prohibit.
This is the fine point on which all the legal professions of history
have based their job security."
- Bene Gesserit Coda
"Major flaws in government arise from a fear
of making radical internal changes even
though a need is clearly seen.
- Darwi Odrade
"Bureaucracy destroys initiative.
There is little that bureaucrats hate more than innovation,
especially innovation that produces better results than the old routines.
Improvements always make those at the top of the heap look inept.
Who enjoys appearing inept?

I will forebear to post a chrestomathy of my poems, although it is doubtless that there are items useful to learn among them.
Where else would you be able to find, for example, such pithy observations as that “Roses are red”?

Liberals invent their own chrestomathy of the Constitution.
To: secret garden
I offer, in the spirit of bi-partisanship, this chrestomathy of the Narcissist-in-Chief:
"One such translator was an American of Haitian descent, representative of the extraordinary work that our men and women in uniform do all around the world -- Navy Corpse-Man Christian Brossard."
"The Middle East is obviously an issue that has plagued the region for centuries."
"The Cambridge police acted stupidly."
"The reforms we seek would bring greater competition, choice, savings and inefficiencies to our health care system."
"What I was suggesting -- you're absolutely right that John McCain has not talked about my Muslim faith..."
"Let me be absolutely clear. Israel is a strong friend of Israel's. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under a McCain...administration. It will be a strong friend of Israel's under an Obama administration. So that policy is not going to change."
"On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes -- and I see many of them in the audience here today -- our sense of patriotism is particularly strong."
I could go on; but why belabor the point - his statements are chock-full of such gems.
Nos genuflectitur ad non princeps sed Princeps Pacem!
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

"Huh? How can I do math with toothpaste?" One must look for significant digits.
"Crest has been shown to be an effective decay-preventive dentifrice that can be of significant value when used in a conscientiously applied program of oral hygiene and regular professional care."

Slow Joe isn’t the problem, Obama is.
With that said, it would be kind of fun to see how Hillary would get Obama impeached by the middle of the term.

I’m pretty sure more people die from heart disease than pregnancy, so I’m still unclear why contraception has to be free while cholesterol medicine isn’t.

Well, I’ve been using it for just about as long as xsex has, but I’ve got to admit that brushing with chrestonmatheeth is best.

Obama read Commie chrestomathy
Said, “Lenin and Marx, boy, am I with thee!”
This wasn’t a whim
It made sense to him
Can’t fathom the right-wing’s antipathy?
