I have lost friends on motorcycles on the highway, but I wouldn’t ask them to stop riding , nor would they ask me to stop.
I understand your concerns, they are legitimate, but it is hardly feasible to place Airfence on a course as long as Isle of Mann. Many types of motorcycle racing have been banned over the years in America, Sidecars,Board tracks, all because of dangers, it’s a dangerous sport, for every motorcyclist killed there are 20 injured, some seriously.
I don’t believe I have ever seen a Dirt flat track racer without zippers in their knees and shoulders.I watched a kid go out one night and break his ankle, taped it up and went out and broke the other.
I realize your perspective and I would never place myself in that position eityher, but for those who want it,I wouldn’t ban it. Any more than I would ban horse racing or jumping.
Different strokes for different folks.
been following it for over 25 years...*smiles*
...that low camera shot of the bikes going up hill is Bray Hill at 190mph...wickedly fast...and when they crest, usually big time wheelies

One of the HD channels runs that race and some of the Rally courses.
I think it’s HDTV.
