I know these folks, was one of the organizers of a Civil War reenactment there. “The Battle Of Broxton Bridge” actually took place on the Plantation.
These are salt of the earth kinda folks, made our group feel at home.
But that said they “don't cotton to “ trespassers, especially if the are strangers. I will wager that there was more than a couple of beers held high to the shooter (or shooters)

Haven’t been there in a few years but they had their own runway and had a fly-in scheduled at the time I was there.
