The daughter did have an olive complexion but the father looked “Mediterranean” white to me.
As far as language goes it seemed neither had anything close to a Castillian accent. The Spanish spoken in Castilla is understandable in Hispanic America so I would not go so far as to call it a dialect. Unless you consider the English spoken in Britain to be a distinct dialect than the English spoken in the USA.
From the daughter I detected an accent from the Mexican capital city and a generic middle class Mexican accent from the father. But agree neither is appropriate since Mexico does not contain any part of the Amazon but several Hispanic countries do.
She had a Sevillian accent.
The father had more of a working-class Central American accent.
Central American *Spanish* accent, that is.
That girl spoke nothing like anyone in Spain.
And the father had a middle class Hispanic-American accent. Where exactly can be debated. Likely an American actor of Hispanic decent and got a mixture growing up listening to people from different Hispanic countires from Mexico and Central America.But probably grew up mostly among Mexican Hispanics.
Ok, whatever.
The show sucked and I’ll probably never watch it again, so who cares about the accent?!?

The actress is Paulina Gaitán.
A Mexican actress who grew up in Mexico City. A Mexican actress on an American TV show about the Amazon doing an accent from Sevilla? LOL
The actor is Daniel Zacapa. An American actor who grew up in San Francisco,California.
The show is good pop-corn entertainment and I will watch the remaining six episodes.
Now to answer your reply, I have seen the movie "The Descent" about the cavers and it was okay. The crawlers were creepy looking and they used quite a bit of blood in the movie. I own and have seen so many horror pictures that it takes quite a bit to bother me. With my cast iron stomach I can even eat while watching Spartacus (the Starz series), Dexter, The Walking Dead, any of the Saw movies, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and such and experience no ill effects.
