Newt wants to give amnesty to illegals.
Newt wants to force us individuals to buy into Obama Care.
Newt believed in global warming and now says he is uncertain.
Sarah would do none of these things.

What was OReillys reaction to Coulter and her trickle down slime? For the most part, he couldn't get a word in edgewise. However, he did interject a good one liner.
While Ann was railing against Gingrich for attacking the liberal media, BOR coolly interjected, "Didn't you write a book on that very topic?"

You may think Newt will lose, But, you can’t possibly believe Romney can beat Obama. Romney is Obama, the white version. If the elites get tired of Obama, they may well see Romney as a suitable replacement because he’ll do what Obama planned to do.
We need someone in there who can fight Obama, not someone who will promise to be more like Obama than Obama. Newt can fight. Romney is clone-light.

I do think shes right that Newt will lose.
Let's assume that Newt will lose and that Romney will lose and that Santorum will lose and that Ron Paul will lose.
I can very easily envision a scenario where Newt puts together a battle plan similar to the Contract With America or some sort of Tea Party Manifesto, which is adopted by 100 people running for Congress / Senate, and I could very easily some of those people winning elections in 2012 and in 2014 and in 2016.
I could also see Ron Paul inspiring some people to run as Libertarian-Leaning Republicans and a few of them actually winning, similar to the way Rand Paul won his Senate seat.
I don't see anyone really following Mitt and running as a "Mitt Romney Republican". The only politician I've ever seen campaigning as a "Mitt Romney Republican" was Meg Whitman, and she was slaughtered after spending $140 million of her own money.
Similarly, you didn't see very many "George W Bush Republicans" running in 2006 or 2008 when the Republicans got slaughtered, even though Bush won the 2004 election (largely due to the efforts of grass-roots Swiftboaters who were never thanked by the party).
It doesn't matter if Romney is "the most conservative" or if Newt is "just saying stuff to get elected". Newt is giving Republican candidates a blueprint showing them exactly how they can energize the base and maybe actually get some votes. Rather than complain about it, start doing it yourself. Become more Newty than Newt. Really tear into Obama. Really challenge the media. Talk directly to the base instead of letting your surrogates do it.

I used to love Ann.
Now I think I hate her guts.
Fortunately she is so scrawny that she doesn't have much for guts so I don't hate her a whole lot.

Drudge also appears to have gone full-blown anti-Newt. Dudge has 5 anti-Newt stories one right after another on the top right of his page. What is Drudge’s deal?

Did you listen to the Rush show within the last two weeks???? I think? Where he said he heard some inside info that Romney said if he won he’d be a one termer. Why? Because he would elimate so much of the entrenched garbage such as SS, the NEA, State Department ect... Tin foil hat stuff and quite unlike Rush to repeat rumors.
He has yet to say it again and I’ve found nothing on the Net.

Romney is to be commended for creating jobs. At the same time he was firing people as well.
It's really difficult to get 26 million unemployed people to vote for a guy who made part of his living firing people.

I don’t think Romney is as bad as Obama. Gee, I don’t even think Bill Clinton is as bad as obama. Obama beats anything I have ever seen.
Perhaps the others are just more subtle however.
I agree Newt is ripping them a new one. Go Newt

Ann has been dating too many liberals and hanging with rinos to understand the voter backlash against a liberal like Romney is the same anger than put a record number of republicans in congress in 2010.
We’ve been biding our time and eagerly await the smack-down of the establishment’s candidate.
The complete destruction of the establishment rino wing of the republican party is the outcome I hope happens in this or the next election cycle.
To: pieceofthepuzzle
I think all of these candidates are basket cases. We might as well put up someone who is not even running, like Ryan. None of these people are genuine conservatives. I don’t know if Ryan could win it, but at least he’s a conservative.
Barring that, I’m at a point of writing off the Presidential race this year. Worry about Congress, where there is a real chance at accomplishing something.

Coulter is just the latest personality to mis-interpret the reason for her popularity.
She apparently thinks she's been dictating conservative opinion instead of a simply giving voice to what the silent conservative rank and file are thinking.

My sentiments exactly. When I turned my radio on this morning she was on with our local morning host, She has gone from hero to zero with me over the last year or so. She has lost at least half her supporters I think. Even if I supported Romney I would be offended by her bombast toward Newt. She must have some skeletons in the closet that allow her strings to be pulled. I only heard the last minute or so of the segment but it was clear she is unhinged.
